We respond to all calls with both part-time volunteer and full-time career members. All firefighters are professional firefighters.

Mission

The Monroe Fire Department is committed to provide prompt, reliable fire and life safety services to the residents and visitors of Monroe. We will do this through teamwork, communication, and professional career development. We, as firefighters, will promote an environment that encourages safety, innovation, and creativity from within, and always maintain a positive public image

We respond to calls with 4 fire Engines, 1 Ladder Tower, 2 Tenders, 1 grass truck, 1 ATV, several utility vehicles and 2 command cars. Information about our apparatus is included in our apparatus page.

All firefighters are members of The Monroe Firefighters Inc. which serves as the social and benevolence organization of the department. Information about our members is included in our personnel page.
