But who are we and where did we come from?

Like any uncut diamond, you might say we were formed from a lump of coal!

MontanaSky Networks, Inc., a Montana Corporation doing business under our own corporate charter since 1985 but have a heritage of direct corporate lineage to one of the first Montana corporations established in 1896, delivering coal and ice for those new fangled appliances of the day called furnaces and ice boxes. That was way over a hundred years ago, right when Montana became a state.

But still no Internet!

The business evolved to trucking, oil field exploration, retail car, furniture and music enterprises, resort and real estate development and now “hauling” electronic goods and services as one the first internet services providers established in 1994 by long time local businessman and entrepreneur, Fred Weber.

Yes, before Al Gore even invented the internet or Google was alive, Fred set up one customer at a time and provided one on one tech support as we all learned how to use this wonderful online tool called the Internet. It should not escape you that now we haul data, in packets, over the information super highway!

Montana Sky Networks now has over 23 talented, motivated and involved employees, managed by Joseph Sullivan, President, Troy Waller, Dan Lee, Arnold Bjork and Tony Friar, all VPs, four offices in Kalispell, Eureka, Libby and Bigfork, serving Flathead, Lake and Lincoln Counties with high speed broadband via phone line DSL, wireless and just introduced WiMax delivery (the latest hot commodity in broadband delivery).

We do full service computer sales, custom builds and repair; plus network design and installation. We are Microsoft Partners, an Authorized Apple Computer Repair Center and are partners with Eaton (the leader in uninterpretable power for a single computer or an entire building)!

We also do satellite TV and Internet! We're an authorized dealer and installer for Dish Network, LLC and DirecTv, leaders in HDTV plus Wild Blue, the nations rural internet delivery by satellite provider which goes where no phone lines go.

We have the latest VmS™ IBM Blade system which allows us to provide you with our new CLOUD virtual computing services which business customers are flocking to, and, which allow us a global reach for servicing “cloud” customers outside our local area.

We have a state of the art network center, space diverse fiber fed with multiple fail safe paths in and out to the world. Besides supplying bandwidth to our internet subscribers we offer co-location for your servers, do hosting from web, web apps, mail and MicroSoft Exchange to Quickbook servers. All available with instant off site, secure encrypted backups to protect your data.
