Story

Montgomery Memorial Park was developed in 1933 around the old Wyatt-Tucker-Morris Family cemetery, which dates back to the early 1800’s. Visitors love to walk through this section of the cemetery to view old tombstones. The park consists of 57 acres of rolling hills and is located about 30 minutes east of Charleston, West Virginia.

I gave them 2 stars: 1 Star -They're quick to take your money, 2 Stars -They're great at providing excuses as to why they can't fix broken headstones or put dirt and straw on a sunken grave. I've personally witnessed employees sitting on headstones, spitting on the graves and cursing worse than a sailor.  No respect given to our loved ones. Both flower vases on my Mother's headstone have been broken off since March. As of today, Memorial Day, 2022, they still have not been repaired. ****Update**** It's now September 1st, 2022 6 months after first meeting and repairs have not been made. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE . I have sent a complaint letter to the Attorney General's Office. They can now handle it.

It seems ok. Although Find A Grave website says my great grandmother is buried here, there seems to be no grave here for her. The office staff friendly and helpfulcouldn't find it either. But I do have other family buried here so not a total trip waster- * Drove from Northern Ohio* easy to find, second time visiting.

My sister, Terri and I came through on our way out of town. Tuesday, May 31,2022. About noon.   The young lady who assisted us was SO kind and attentive. She was thorough in helping us locate where extended family had been buried, and even said if we needed help, she would walk out with us!  She made a stopover visit to gravesides very smooth and enjoyable.  We appreciated her kind engagement!!

Paid in full for four plots at kanawha valley memorial gardens  same ownwrs that where supposed to be side by side...found out not so... called to rectify the problem and was guaranteed a fix and was flat out lied too....now my family will be separated by more then 12 plots instead of being togeather... nice way to treat people that depend on your services....

It's sad when you can't get anything done at that Cemetery. I've asked have my grandparents flower vase fix. All they have done is lie to me. And they haven't put Mr hudnalls Veterans marker down yet either. This is so sad.

Grandmother passed away in July of 2018. Supposed to have her service in the chapel, but there was a body that wasn't properly embalmed and the whole chapel had a god awful odor. We were forced to have the service under the overhang beside the chapel in the pouring rain. Then it took them until March of 2019 to install her headstone, despite us having placed the order promptly. Once it was finally installed they installed it backwards, so they had to take it back out and position it correctly. Staff showed absolutely no compassion or empathy during this. Would never recommend burying a loved one here.

I have been trying to get a head stone and my father's ashes buried for 5 years, if I could give no stars, I would. I still don't have him buried. It took them 3 years to get them to initially call me back, after leaving lots of messages. Everything was prepaid by my Father but I had to pay an additional $500 just to try to get it completed, didn't help. I will not be buried there, even though my family is.  Don't want to put my son through this.

Am still waiting 2 years now for my mother's vase to be fixed and placed in her gravesite.  They broke it and now are not returning my attempts to contact them. Guess I need to go in person ...again. One week laterIf you would have read my post instead of an autoreply you would know that the problem has not been rectified

If I could rate 0 oh I absolutely would. This is the WORST management I have ever dealt with. For 4 years my family and I have been questioning this management for not placing a vase on my grandmothers tombstone/placard, something in which we paid for when she passed. For 4 years we have called, gone into the managements office, emailed, left voice mails. For 4 years we’ve received the same story, “oh I’m so sorry! We’ll be sure to get this fixed and send a photo to you when it’s done.” For 4 years all promises and statements have been completely utter BS.  For the person who does review management. Do not even respond to this review, nothing you say can help this situation until our concern and demand for the vase is properly placed at her grave site. You can contact us through the information we have left in your office for the passed 4 years for any further questions.

Grounds crew constantly knock of cemented vases. We have had them reset several times.  They cost a lot to have done.  So my Sister and her husband made makeshift vases put rocks in the bottom to hold them down and tied them to the headstone. They were missing within a couple months.
