I hired Christian when the IRS issued a Trust Fund Recovery against me.  I had never even heard of such a thing, and didn't know where to begin with defense.  Christian explained the situation, process, and guided me through the entire process.  He was realistic about the possibility of a positive outcome, and advised me on worst case scenario.  Christian was easy to communicate with, kept me apprised of the progress in my case, and responsive to my questions.  Against the odds, he obtained excellent results in my legal matter.  I would recommend him and his firm for tax matters without reservation.

Chris Montgomery charged way too much money only to disappoint at the end. I was a client at one point of his career. Gave false promises, insinuated a lot, unorganized, and has no positive-outcome influence.  Told me everything will be alright in the end, but it's totally not.  He just wants your money and will leech you for more. Beware, you have been warned.  His partner, Wetenkamp, seems to be better and sincere.  I won't be shocked if Wetenkamp drops out of their practice later on. Look elsewhere.

I highly recommend Montgomery & Wetenkamp. Three years after moving out of state, I received a notice from the California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) that a significant amount of taxes plus interest and late fees were owed for a year I neither worked nor lived in California. It just so happened I was six months pregnant when I received the notice and attempting to save up for an unpaid maternity leave- needless to say communication during this time was key to reducing my anxiety. Not only did Mr. Montgomery fully resolve my tax matter with the FTB but kept in excellent communication via both personal phone calls and email throughout the process. In his communications, Mr. Montgomery was forthcoming with the realities of my situation, both positive and negative, and what our options were. Mostly importantly, he kept me appraised of updates as soon as he was able to provide them often before I received the notices in the mail from the board. Thank you Montgomery & Wetenkamp.

Called and exposed my problem. The guy who answered asked me if I owed a lot of money and I said no (because it's another matter) and practically didn't want to have nothing to do with it. Told me literally to try "someone who would do it for free"  as if I was asking for a discount. I never asked for it. Disgusting

Christian helped me at one of the lowest points of my life. He was understanding and I would and have recommended him. If you think that you are capable of handling your problems ... it's a different ballgame with far better results if you hire Christian.
