History
Established in 2009
Upon arrival in the United States, Chef Katerina pursued her dream of excelling in the culinary arts by studying at the French Culinary Institute of New York. After years of hard work and the perfection in her trade, Chef Katerina opened Monticello Bistro, located in South Amboy, NJ, in 2004. This is where she started her display of unique and exquisite cuisine. After five years of satisfying customers all over Middlesex County, Chef Katerina has teamed up with her brother Roberto, an equal enthusiast for great cuisine, to expand and bring the presence of Monticello to the great Borough of Red Bank. In a community with a wide range of culture and liveliness, Monticello adds a pleasurable taste from around the world all to one location.

Owners Roberto and Katerina Giambalvo are brother and sister with Italian ethnicity and a passion for the culinary arts. Katerina is Monticello's Executive Chef with over decade of professional training and experience. Her brother Roberto has been in the restaurant industry for an equal amount of time, displaying impeccable customer relations and service with a wide range of knowledge in giving the highest level of restaurant dining.
