One star for the view.  I was there expecting a wonderful breakfast since this is a famous inn that I have both stayed in as a guest and enjoyed weddings and other special  events over the last 40 years.   However in recent years it has changed hands, remained expensive, but quality has diminished .  My breakfast was on a weekday before a business meeting so I cannot comment on their supposedly wonderful brunch, but my experiences with brunches are that they appeal to the masses looking for a buffet. I prefer a delicately prepared breakfast with gourmet choices-something you might find in a New England Inn with a history comparable to the Molly.  Well the over medium eggs arrived with black along the whites from the grease of the grill and no maple pepper bacon here - just thin greasy and stringy. And would you believe they have the nerve to serve the pancakes with Aunt Jemima high fructose imitation syrup?   No real maple syrup here even for an upcharge.  This expensive breakfast is on par with any greasy spoon on the shore.  Plenty of nice breakfast spots downtown-stay away from the Molly.

I attended the Sunday brunch at The Molly Pitcher as a party of eight with my family (a pre-holiday celebration for those who wouldn't otherwise be able to get together.) The service was good and prompt and we were seated at a long dining table, in the past we have had a circular table and generally found that preferable as it made conversation easier. After drinks were delivered we went to the buffet, the eggs were cooked on site (and were delicious). The food was by and large good, and there was a fairly wide selection. I would have liked to see some more vegetable options that weren't coated in sauces of some sort, I think I recall them having roast potatoes in the past whereas this time they only had mashed which was a bit rough since I can't do dairy. I mostly had the meats, of which all were awesome except for the pork, which was a little dry. Brunch was over all delightful and there was no rushed feeling. It was a great environment to catch up.

Delicious brunch and wonderful atmosphere.    If the brunch came with more than one mimosa (or bloody Mary), we'd definitely come more often.  I was especially impressed with the dessert table at brunch - not something you'd expect.  We had a wonderful time!

I attended a Bridal Shower that was hosted here and it was absolutely gorgeous.  Staff is very courteous, view of the water is immaculate and restaurant catering for the even was very upscale, with yummy healthy options available too.  I really enjoyed taking advantage of the complimentary valet parking too!  Elegant, memorable experience.

Beautiful hotel on the river.  Especially love the view from the restaurant.  Excellent food and staff.  My only issue is I couldn't get a simple cup of tea or coffee after 10 am,  they put away the hot water and coffee service.
