Let me just start by saying that i work at the hospital so i am a regular customer there and I know exactly when they have busy hours and everything but they have this one bald guy Steve, OMG they need to do something with this guy. he ALWAYS messes up my order because he's always in a rush and don't actually take the time to listen to the order. I odered lunch there today over the phone and he gave me the total opposite of what i ordered. And my food was also a mess. Now I'm usually not the type to call back about my order but since he did not give me my receipt Usually they put it in your bag i had to call and find out what happened. This man got me waiting for about 7 minutes which is understandable because it was lunch time but when he picked up he started yelling so i asked to speak with another young lady that usually helps me, he lied and said she was at lunch and hung up on me. I had just about it so i walked over there there was no one on live and the young lady that supposedly was at lunch was stading right there. He still was not listening to me or did not even apologize or offer to fix the problem and just started yelling from the top of his lungs. This man is a source of loss and lots of people at work are complaining about him
I have worked at the hospital for over 6 years and while the service never was great, it was at least somewhat acceptable. Not any more. I called ahead three times this week to place an order on different days. Each time the phone was either busy or I was put on hold for 5+ minutes and the person never came back. Today I tried eating in their dining room. WHen I got there a customer was desperately trying to get the waiteress's attention. When she finally did, she politely asked for help and the waitress walked away! A waiter had been listening to this and he also walked away! It seems that this business does not want our business or our money, so I suggest that you do as I do and spend it elsewhere.
If I could give it 0 stars I would. Tried it while in the facility conducting business and I had some unexpected guess a mouse and grasshopper. Unclean and who knows what's going on in the back.
Like most people have said already The Prices are Crazy Straight Robbery and the 2 Lady Cashiers are really not nice and they definitely don't look like they want to be there at all on any day. I think they should change the Whole Staff and start Fresh and definitely lower the Prices.
The food is good and we like coming when an appointment. BUT OMG the waiter he is horrible he talks to the clients like if the client is there to surve him super rude not cordial at all. That is definitely the issue in that place.
Great place to eat while at the hospital until today. My mom and I asked for cream of turkey soup which in the past has been delicious. The waiter was unsure if they had any left but 5 minutes later 2 bowls of watered down soup was served. In hindsight, we should of sent it back but it was tasty. We paid and left a tip but felt cheated.
The Prices are so hiked up it's insane I know other Moonstruck diners and their prices are not the same. The two ladies in the front are not welcoming at all. The owner should really revisit there customer service and prices. This place is just focused on getting your money since they are in the Hospital it's very easy to do this and raise the prices. Also, place needs to be kept cleaner.
Moonstruck Diner at Bellevue Hospital! On 1st Ave. At 28th St. Same owners as the Moonstruck on 3rd at 31st although I haven’t eaten at that one. I’m a diner guy. If you’re also a diner person, Moonstruck is your kind of place. The food is always what you expect. It arrives promptly and hot. Unless it’s supposed to be cold, in which case it arrives promptly and cold. The prices are fair. They’re Not midtown east prices $$, they’re fair diner prices $. Check out the 2 menu pages here. Service is good and polite. Nice dessert selection. Love the banana cream pie, like the fruit pies. The cakes don’t excite me. Pleasant setting, always clean, and some of the booths are on windows to the park outside. If you have to go to the hospital, it’s a tough day but Moonstruck will make you feel better. If you’re in the neighborhood it’s actually worth coming in.
They have a very nasty waiter. He yelled at a lady because she wanted to use metal utensils instead of plastic utensils and kept telling her in a loud voice she better not do it again. My fiancee is in a mobil scooter and we finished eating there and she went to the back of the restaurant with her scooter and he yelled at her "Where u going !". She said the bathroom and he said in a nasty tone that there was no bathroom so she said ok.. As she is trying to turn her scooter around he got loud again and told her no bathroom. She told him she was turning her scooter around and he just continued being nasty to her
I've always ordered from this moonstruck because it's convenient as it's located inside my job. Last week I ordered a chicken salad wrap with avocado + a side of sweet potato fries. My total was $14.15 which I didn't mind paying. But when my order came I got the wrap and a few fries thrown in the same container as if I had ordered a combo. I called and spoke to the cashier who at first made it seem like I got what I paid for but after a few back and forth admitted that I was right and that I was charged for a side of fries by itself like I wanted but received a combo instead. Asked her if I could bring it back so she can give me my fries in it's own container as a side order a way bigger portion and she said no although I got charged for it that she can't do anything about it right now and that her manager isn't here today and that she will talk to him about it when he gets back. The reason I ordered a side of fries and didn't mind paying $5 for it was to get a big portion so I can share with my co-workers as I promised. So just adding my extra fries was out of the question mind you I got charged for it and should be entitled to it. Anyway to cut a long story short, I finally spoke to the manager about it yesterday, I didn't quite remember the total I paid at the time, but he didn't want it hear it, was very dismissive. I told him how sometimes I even notice the add on for avocado price changes on a day to day basis. Could it be that some cashier aren't familiar with how to ring the add ons? Anyhow, he spoke to me in a very condescending way. Started telling me how avocado prices changes every day and that yes I may pay a price today to add it on and the next day it's more. I have never heard of that before, changes in price based on the season yes, but day to day NO. But of course I let him talk. He was not apologetic, didn't say let me find out the situation from the cashier, none of that. I didn't expect him to make up for the situation by giving me the fries back but I expected an apology for messing up my order and not giving me I what I paid for. As a manager it's important to listen, the attitude was uncalled for, no matter how booming business is. So people look at your receipt when you order especially if you have add ons, it seems as if the cashier just rings whatever price they want for the add on, especially since "avocado prices changes everyday". Well i got news, so is the price of a million of other things in the food industry. But every restaurant I go to have a set price to add avocado or any other side except yours.
