This may be our new favorite breakfast spot in Paso! The food was all excellent, fresh & creative. The service was great - everyone was very friendly and attentive, and the chef came out to check how we liked everything. The vibe and ambiance was perfect - definitely a great addition to our downtown breakfast/lunch options. I can't wait to go back and try everything else!
Visited Sunday, 17th July 2022 10 of 10 would recommend This is a nice looking place. As you walk in, there is a huge menu high on the wall. I think it's the first thing that catches people's attention when they walk in. It certainly did catch my attention; so much so that you don't even notice the hand-held menus on the other wall until the owner points it out. I think this adds to the decor. The other wall was a mirror so you can watch yourself eat. The venue looks like it would be a great place for watching games, too golf and a dog show was on while we dined. There are three huge tvs mounted to the walls. Speaking of the menu, each item on the menu is cleverly named. If you pay attention, you'll even catch some of the innuendo. There were two waitresses but I think they are mainly for bringing out the orders and then cleaning up the tables after guests leave since you have to place your order at the counter and get a number for it to be brought to the table you select. From the B'Fast Plates: I got the Lox n' Toast: smoke salmon, avocado mousse, pickled onion, fried capers, everything spice; $14 I thought I would dislike the avocado mousse but it was barely noticeably different from regular, whole avocado. Although I was full, I wish there was another piece of bread because it seems like the bread to salmon ratio was off it was a lot of salmon. The smoke salmon was delicious, though. I completely enjoyed my meal. My friend got the Hot Mess: MAC papas smothered in wavy gravy topped w/ two poached eggs; $11 He devoured it and mentioned how amazing it tasted and that it was a hot mess lol. He even kept talking about it on our drive back. Both meals were amazing!! The drink menu only has sparkling and wines listed but, there are also a selection of beers on tap, Michalada, and coffees available. There are tons of seating inside and outside on the patio. It was still early in the morning and a bit chilly so we opted to sit inside but the table closest to the patio...best of both world. Ample paid parking is available along the street parking is free for the first 2 hours. The bathroom is at the back of the facility and shared with Blast & Brew; if you're not paying attention when you get out the bathroom, you could get discombobulated and go the wrong way. Lol I enjoyed this place. I would most definitely return to try other menu items. Parking: Ample paid parking is available along the street parking is free for the first 2 hours. Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps to enter the restaurant. From the sidewalk, wheelchairs can just roll right in and there are low tables where wheelchair customers can dine without having to get out of their wheelchair.
Absolutely best food in Paso- focusing on breakfast and lunch. We first found them when looking for a coffee place and my husband was sold with just the coffee. He.got a mocha latte with Mayan chocolate and it was the best coffee he had ever had he said. While we were waiting for the coffee there was a guy there who had ordered a burrito that looked incredible, and we couldn’t stop thinking about it. We returned the next day for breakfast, with the thought of that burrito in our heads, but once we saw the rest of the menu we had to try some of their other offerings. My husband got the Sancho burrito chorizo, eggs, cheese, salsa and quac. with a side of the steel cut oatmeal. I got the Shocker- a dish of 2 poached eggs in shakshouka tomato broth. Everything was incredible!!! The burrito was fantastic, steel cuts oats were cooked perfectly with fresh fruit on top. The Shocker was an incredible presentation of Shakshouka- with the eggs and broth in small casserole dish served with great homemade bread toasted that could be dipped into the tasty and slightly spicy broth and eggs. And the haystack potatoes are incredible too- shoestring potatoes flavored just perfectly. Incredible food, incredible service, and a barista that is top notch!!
So worth the wait!!! We inhaled our food so quick i forgot to take pictures. We got the Hot Mess and the Croque Madame. If you are in a hurry don’t come here! 30-45 min wait for food minimum but worth the wait. There is 1 cook and 1 cashier. They offer bottomless mimosas! But again, if you are in a hurry don’t waist their time n money by canceling your order n getting a refund. Support small businesses don’t hurt them.
To bad. Good idea, poor execution. Had ham, 1/2 biscuit and gravy. The ham was OK, but was thin sliced for sandwiches and warmed on the flat top. The biscuit was not completely cooked, covered with a weird gravy, overly salty and oddly spiced. Bites were gummy, not pleasant. I asked for quiche, was told it hadn't been made yet, this was at 9:30 am. Overall, a poor experience. I hope they get their act together. Coffee was very good though.
The service was a little slow and the food was meh. Had the hangover burrito with sausage, which was massive but was just generally not good. If you're looking for breakfast, go to Vics right down the street. Simple food, that everyone loves.Food: 2/5
Best food ever the Mac muffin is amazing Also even better if you add the wavy gravy on top definitely recommend this restaurant
With only 2 other people in the restaurant, they forgot to make our coffee drinks until I inquired, the poached eggs were more solid than runny and the cheese sauce was strange. They don’t have it together yet. Parking: Parking was amble Dietary restrictions: No
Everything we had was delicious and the portions were huge! Great spot!
Delicious mimosas and amazing French toast!
