I lived in Morris Crossing for about 4 years and it was a enjoyable experience. The apartment itself was nice and large for a 1BR. Office (Rudy and Miki!) and maintenance staff were always responsive and helpful and the community was nice and pretty quiet. Good location (walkable to train to NYC, close to the Green) and overall a good place to live.

I've been living in Morris Crossing for 5 months now. A lot of the complaints from the other reviews are very accurate. The big picture of these apartments is that it's a nice quite neighborhood, that is good for me and my small dog (the neighborhood is great). Everyone that lives here is really respectful, quiet and nice. The apartment is clean. When me and my 2 roommates moved in, they did fresh paint, new carpet and cleaned everything up very nice. However, there are some big downfalls to this apartment. One of the biggest, is the electric bill. I'm honestly afraid to see what the bill is going to be in the dead of winter. For November, it was almost $400 for a 3 bedroom apartment. To me, that's insane. Morris Crossing really needs to update their appliances. They are all outdated and definitely not energy efficient. And the washer/dryer we have in unit, is extremely small. Second, you can take a hot shower for 10 minutes, tops. Living in a 3 bedroom, you would really think that they would give you a bigger tank to accommodate the 3-4 people that would be showering. Third, me and my roommate get ready for work at the same time. Her room is at the other end of the apartment. If we try and blow dry our hair at the same time, forget it. Breaker will go out every single time. Fourth, on top of the insane electric bill, they charge you $80 for 3 bedroom water/sewer. So our utilities are over $200 per person, each month (with cable). I've never paid this much in utilities at any other apartment I've lived in. This is on top of their over priced rent. I could live walking distance from the green for the amount they charge you here, and I bet the utilities would be cheaper. Like other reviews, the snow removal, parking, plumbing, waiting to hear back from the office are all true and inconvenient. Reduce the rent and utilities and fix the issues mentioned above and I would enjoy my apartment because it is cozy and a nice area. However, the coziness is not worth the stress of ridiculous bills and cold showers. I would not recommend Morris Crossing.

I believe it's important to let companies know when they have missed opportunities. I also feel that it is as equally important to let them know where they excel and have surpassed my expectations. Therefore, it's long overdue for me to write a review for the place I have called home now for close to 3 years; The Morris Crossing Apts. I hadn't experienced 'apartment living' for quite some time and I wasn't exactly embracing the idea. Initially I was only going to be here a short period of time until I purchased another home and then the strangest thing happened; I fell in love with the property and the management team here. Anyone that knows me, knows that I love living here! I also have a tendency to share with prospective residents that are touring the property, what a great property this is and that they will hopefully love it as much as I do. It clearly doesn't have all the 'bells and whistles' that many people are looking for these days. However in my view what it does offer is priceless. There's a sense of community here that you can't find very often in other properties. Calling it an apartment really doesn't do it justice. On so many levels I feel as though I am living in a house in a quaint and charming neighborhood The luxury of being able to put in a maintenance request for the occasional plugged sink or broken blind and have it repaired in 24 hours or less is worth its' weight in gold. I also greatly appreciate how well the office communicates with us with regard to what is happening on the property. In addition, I've gone in on a couple of occasions to express concerns about 'this or that' or the other thing and the manager Miki Valentine has always been welcoming, professional and has assured me that she'll look into my concern and do a follow up. I can't say enough about our maintenance team either. I recently found out that we were losing Thomas and Brian and I was initially concerned. However I just met our newest maintenance team, Bill and Gerry and they assured me that they will still continue to meet or exceed my expectations and will keep the standards at the high level that we as residents have come to expect. Lastly, I would like to thank management for coming to their senses by bringing back Rudy. The energy that he brings to the property is contagious and you can't help but smile when you see him. In closing, this really is a special place to live and I hope to stay for quite awhile longer. We may not have a pool or a yoga studio, but we have a heart and money can't buy that.

I moved in just over a month ago, and so far my experience living at Morris Crossing has been amazing! The maintenance staff is professional and timely. Our leasing consultant, Rudy, has been conscientious and incredibly helpful. He has always made himself available and present. The units are in great condition and the landscaping makes the community truly feel like home. If you are looking for a rental community, Morris Crossing is sure to please!
