I've been living here since April 2016 and I enjoyed the experience ever since. The management staffs have been extremely helpful in helping me to get things done (and I have been causing enough trouble switching apartments within the property) and they've been very friendly throughout. The maintenance staffs have also been helpful in fixing every anomalies that have occurred occasionally. This is definitely a place to look out for if you are thinking of living in Oakland.

This review is for those who are seriously thinking about moving into Morrow park city apartments. Also check them out on Yelp. It has some decent pros. The amenities are great! Nice size garden terrace. Decent gym and heated pool! The garage is heated too. 
This building has some serious drawbacks. First off, there have been 4 different managers within a 2 year period. Every 6 months or so you will go and pay your rent, and the previous manager disappears. The problem with this is... Each manager has different rules that they institute based on what they feel the building needs. Which is their job,but many have been ridiculous. Some of the different rules has been as follows... If you have 2 cars it doesn't matter 1 parking space per unit. There aren't enough spaces for the amount of units. The walls are not sound proof near the garbage shoot so after 10pm no throwing garbage away. Some managers have attempted to charge tenants to receive their packages although this didn't take place. Tenants put a stop to that.
The maintenance men are the cleaners. So needless to say the building is NEVER really clean. The grills can be gross and the hallway carpet I've never seen cleaned one time. Speaking of cleaning carpets...We lived in the apartment for 2 years and the newest manager said the carpets were beyond being cleaned they needed to be replaced. That cost $900 for 2  bedrooms. They insist that they clean them when you move... Which in itself is gross. They should automatically replace them. Actually they did replace the carpets for the next tenant just on the previous tenants dime. Village Green has a great concept of luxury living,but they absolutely failed to execute. 
Bottom line: If location is an absolute must...than this is it. But if you want the luxury that you're paying for. Trust me. Look somewhere else.

I have the most amazing apartment and searched high and low in the Pittsburgh area to find such an apartment. The building is very secure and quiet. I have had very very minor maintenance issues and Greg fixed them immediately. Yvonne is absolutely wonderful! She is the best property manager I have ever had and I have been a renter in many prestigious apartments in PA, NYC, PHILA., and London, UK. The beauty of my apartment and Yvonne and Greg outweigh it all.

The building is great. Close to Groceries and schools. Yvonne and Jasmyne are super friendly and very responsive. Also, the maintenance team and the concierge are very helpful. They keep the building very clean. Glad that I chose this place to live in.

Love the building and the beautiful design that surrounds you when you step through the door. But, what really stands out is the staff, from the leasing office to maintenance. They are truly fantastic.
