Beautiful place! Went to scout it out for camping and spent the day hiking around. Hiked to the top of a mountain and the view was spectacular. Trails are well marked. Primitive campsites look awesome. There’s a lot here - a small museum which is interesting, a park office with trail maps, a common room for events, and a public swimming pool somewhere (saw it on the map but didn’t find it). I will definitely be back to camp here.

Excellent campgrounds with plenty of enjoyable site locations. While the sites are compact, there is still a bit of "shoulder room" and usually a clear view of old growth forest. Bathrooms are in very good condition including the warm showers. Lots of hiking trails, all well marked and maintained, that give you up close and distant views of the beautiful lake, nice climbs to scenic vistas and plenty of forest time. Boating access but no dedicated canoe launch. You can also rent canoes and kayaks in season.

Love this place! Relaxing and peaceful! Lots of nature to watch and take in. Campsites are clean and have flat pads. Most campsite are partial to full shade. Grates are located on fire rings so that you can cook over the fire. Host has more firewood, if needed. Bathrooms are clean and have soap! Lots of hiking trails! Top of the mountain is beautiful and give you a great view to see all the lakes. At the top of the mountain, you can have a picnic while taking in the view. If you love nature, you will love this state park!

Great place for a day trip. Hiking, a boat launch and boat rentals at the boat house. Camp sites have good looking tent pads, fire ring with grates, picnic table and lantern hooks. Equestrian trails look fun though we didn't ride. Woods are unique in that they regularly do controlled burns to keep the volatile underbrush toned down. Leaves the forest mysteriously ominous. Seems like a big wind storm of some kind came through a few years ago with lots of large trees down throughout.

Gorgeous, and a great hike. Awesome views from the top! Also check out the old quarry at the top; humans have used it for 10000 years. The museum is small but well-maintained and informative. A lot of tree falls have happened in the past decade, so the forest seems a little sparse in spots, but it's totally natural. Trails are fairly well maintained but can be difficult to follow without blazes. An excellent state park!
