Great price, clean, comfortable beds, super staff, everything worked, off season for Carowinds it is quiet; it is a GREAT, BASIC motel, there are few bells and whistles: WiFi available for a per day charge, not all rooms have fridge and microwave, but they are an option, floors not carpeted. Carowinds park is literally across the street. Shopping centers nearby..3-5 miles away. Lake Wylie about 15 min away. Nature parks abound in the area. Just blocks from the I 77 interchange to go back into Charlotte, NC or on South. There are three other motels/hotels in the same area if this one is full, but we always stay here and recommend it.

I am so happy that this location has remodeled. It is so beautiful now on the inside. I was on the 1st floor, however my previous stays were on the smoking floors 2nd and 3rd and they were both loud and smelled of marijuana. So I don't know if those floors were the same or not. Either way I was happy with being on the 1st floor near an exit so that I didn't have to walk a half a mile to get to the parking lot or an elevator.

The heat BARELY worked. Took forever for the room to warm up on the highest fan setting and the thermostat set on 86

I chose this location for the price & convenience.
The room was basic but clean. No frills, but I wasn't looking for those anyway. I was only staying one night.
A great location if you're going to Carowinds.

The room was so clean. All the sheets were so fresh with the temperature perfect. The towels were folded so nicely. The front office workers were so friendly.

For a Motel 6 its fairly nice. Renovated and has no carpet in the rooms which I like. It has a weird odor though. No idea what it is. For an inexpensive place to stay for Carowinds I'd recommend it. One note is while you are while you are within walking distance of Carowinds you have to cross an incredibly busy road to get to the park. There is no safe spot to cross as even the nearby stoplight has no crosswalk. The municipality really should fix that.
