This was a real unfortunate experience. I have stayed at Motel 6 before so they must be having a tough time. They first checked my wife and I into a room where the toilet had been removed and raw sewage had overflowed about an inch deep in the bathroom. It smelled pretty bad! Don't ever stay in room 145 as I doubt they will ever truly and correctly mitigate the sewage damage in the room. This would require shutting down and replacing sheet-rock near the floor in all adjacent rooms). Anyway, they very nicely moved us into another room, which was fine. This room cost about as much as other lowest cost rooms in town. Yet, it had an old 14 inch tube TV that clipped the picture and was really bad. No shampoo, very small bath towels (hand towels?), etc. - the absolute minimum room. The room was recently painted which was nice. But the carpet was fairly old. At least the bed was clean and the room was warm. Finally, it's right next to a big truck stop where they run their engines all night, but you get used to the dull roar after a while. I know one can do much better for the same price in at least three other places in Winnemucca. We've stayed there numerous times.

Location was great - easy access to the main strip through Winnemucca yet no outside noise. Room was surprisingly spacious for an older motel. Water pressure and noisy light/fan combo were, however, less than desirable. Comfy bed but pillows were a bit too thick and hard (luckily I brought my own but my husband ended up with a stiff neck and headache). Would stay here again on another trip through the area.

Pleasant stay. Clean, comfortable, and friendly staff. We were disappointed that we smelled cigarettes when the bathroom fan was on, despite being a non-smoking room. We shut off the fan, and it was ok then. Food was easy walking distance. Morning Coffee wasn't bad either. We were grateful for them leaving the light on for us, and letting us bring our dogs. Although the light in the sign was burned out! We had to GPS ourselves into the parking lot. Bring slippers, I wouldn't want to walk on the carpet barefoot. I do Love the Gideon's bible, and appreciate it very much in the rooms.

The Staff there was just remarkable. It was a pleasure to stay. No its not a new building, rooms. But the Staff, and cost out weighed that. I would recommend and stay there again and again.

We were traveling with our dog and like to stay in Motel 6.  Your motels are great for pets.  Thank you for a clean, quiet room.
