My stay at Motel 6 in Monroe was one of the more harrowing experiences of my admittedly privileged existence. I think I may have been the only guest there who was not prostituting themselves, someone else or producing/selling drugs. The carpark was crawling with pimps, knocks on the door happening to rooms around me until the wee hours of the morning. The hotel room was pretty dirty, but that was fine. Of more concern were the buzzing outlets half falling out of the wall. The TV would not turn off without being unplugged from the wall, so the amber alerts frantically playing through it woke me up repeatedly until I unplugged it from the wall. That was alright though, woke me up in time to listen to the nearby gunshots. When I went down to my car in the morning, the big handprints on my windscreen felt very foreboding. I have not stopped talking about this exhilarating American experience. Thank you Motel 6!

Clean, well kept rooms. Lobby was exceptionally clean, tidy, and well cared for. Employees were friendly, polite, helpful, and cheerful. Had good repor with them. Gave great directions and suggestions on best place to find something good to eat. Will stay again, next visit to area.

The rooms are CLEAN ISH "bathrooms are bad and rooms have roaches" SOME of staff 8s friendly. Prices are decent "best in town" The vending machines rarely work. Ice machines are not working except the one in office. Price was recently raised because of the mini fridge and microwave in rooms. The WiFi is a huge issue in some spots of the hotel and getting the staff to fix it is hell "except one worker who always gets it working fast when she's on the clock" 90% of the staff are rude and unprofessional. They smoke weed while cleaning rooms. If you need something here you better get it yourself. People trying to panhandle you for $ or cigarettes all over this property. Creepy ass people "women beware" A guy was murdered here just months ago. The morning coffee sucks "cheap creamer and no sugar" The price and very few staff make the place doable tho. So if this is all you got then do it up but if you can afford more then I'd suggest you look elsewhere

Horrible. Bathroom was so gross. Body hairs everywhere. Filthy tub and floor. Water leaked out from under the sink and got everywhere. Floor was so filthy and sticky. 10 minutes with my shoes off turned municipal white socks to pitch black. Had to throw them away. People lurking around the parking lot all night long both nights I stayed. I personally watched drug deals happen in the parking lot. Rooms were missing light bulbs, A/C didn't work properly, safety latch on door was hanging on by one weak bolt, remote was all busted up and no batteries were in it. Had to provide my own. Morning staff is soooo rude as well as the housekeepers. Will NEVER stay again.

Zero stars would be more appropriate. Credit card machine broken. WiFi was slow and only worked in corner of room. Room was dirty and infested with bugs. No shampoo provided in room. The night with additional guests was party night - they were up yelling and partying until 3am. Why put these folks in the room next to me? There were many empty rooms.
