It took me years to try this place which is sad because their sushi is amazing. I love the prices, the menu definitely has options but it isn’t overwhelming. I came in around 9:30 after craving sushi all day and the staff was friendly and quick to help out. They make the sushi right in front of you. It’s fresh even right before closing. They have a water machine while you wait for your food which isn’t much of a wait at all. The condiments bar was clean, the entire store was very clean. The decor is very cool and welcoming. I will have to come back.

Taste fresh, it's fast and they have plenty of options. I like the spicy crab roll when I need something quick.  Parking: It's oakland the parking is terrible.

The food here was very good, very fresh, and you get a lot for the price.  They have a LOT to select from so if your hungry and this kind of food tickles your fancy this is probably one of the best spots in Pittsburgh.

There is a good view of the corner from here if you like people watching, but other than that, move on. The sashimi I was served was not fresh. When biting into the salmon, the ice crystals and salmon mix were unexpectedly unappetizing. Also, it was served on sushi rice. Who serves sashimi with rice? There are very few drink options, nothing hot. So overall, it's definitely not my top pick for sashimi.  Wheelchair accessibility: None

I ordered a spicy California roll and a Boston roll. They weren't the most flavorful rolls I've ever had, but they were still good, particularly for the price. The manager was also very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend, particularly to the university students.

I've been coming here for 5 years or so they have by far the best poke bowl in the city. Staff has always been friendly food is always good. Get the salmon poke bowl and add tuna you won't regret it. Sushi donuts are also fire.

so delicious! they did switch our orders probably because we paid with dining dollars and our orders didn’t have names with each other BUT they were both delicious so it is okay!! we got tuna poke bowl & house special poke bowl. the tuna in both was absolutely delicious and came with this cute little flower!! they accept off campus dining dollars which is great for pitt students - really yummy taste with good prices. highly recommend :~

I had food from Mount Everest Sushi to the Hospital to my friend the door dasher refused to leave it at the Hospital and returned it back to this Restaurant!  the guy answering the phone refused to help me, even though I asked him to help me get my purchase back, he said call monday and hung up the phone!Food: 2/5

I’m a Pitt student and Mount Everest is by far one of my most favorite places to eat in Oakland. Every single time I go in, I am greeted with such kindness and spectacular service. The employees are truly lovely humans and they make the BEST sushi I’ve ever had. Thank you Mount Everest!Food: 5/5

The food was fine. Run of the mill sushi and poke bowl. We liked them and would eat them again but nothing special. The place is a hole in the wall and don’t plan to eat there. The tables are upstairs and the room smells like an open sewer. I think the bathroom must have been backed up for days. We left and ate in the car.Food: 4/5
