People come here from all over to fill their water jugs at the Sacramento River headwaters. When I lived in the area, sometimes I would fill 40 gallons at a time. The rest of the park is beautiful and a mix of wide-open grass and wooded areas. Very chill place to hang out -especially in the summertime.

It could use better maintenance for trash, some vagrants are around and about. We enjoyed looking at the head waters of the Sacramento river as it starts right there in the park!  Kids had fun on the large jungle gym.

Really neat park with shade. A playground and the headwaters for the Sacramento river coming out of the mountain here. You can fill up you were bottles . Play structures are not great though.

Love Mount Shasta! Road was closed due to snow but what's more fun than 80 degrees Sunshine walking through snow

Spiritual Center, amazing hiking trails, great camping grounds. One of my favorite time on vacation were spent in Mt. Shasta. The water is fresh an underground source and was amazing. Highly recommended as destination to climb this dormant volcano.
