Great family ski area. I've lived and snowboarded in the North East, Colorado and Alaska. This place has the feel of a small town ski area where the locals are more concerned about their ski equipment and ability and less concerned about their social status and what they drive or do for a living true dirt bag ski area.

An amazingly fun and friendly ski location. Ok, it's small compared to Tahoe, but that's what makes it so special. Family friendly, no crowds, open runs (up to mid-level expertise) and some fun snowboarding and skiing racing/events. The view of Mt. Shasta are priceless, and staying in Mt. Shasta town or McCloud also so beautiful. The staff are quite friendly and helpful. Instructors are nice, rentals are patient while working furiously with the morning rush. Prices are very reasonable (for ski resorts)
