Story

Auto Ranch Group is owned & operated by Todd and Paula McCurry, who are both from right here in the Treasure Valley. They started with a little Ford store in Mountain Home in 1997, and grew from there over the last 20 years. We now have over 14 franchises in 5 stores spread from Mountain Home to Meridian in Idaho, and our newest stores in Ontario & Baker City, Oregon. Our stores serve customers from all across Idaho, Oregon, and all over the nation.

I've been meaning to express my disservice with this place for a while now. First, they are decently priced, the Kia Sorento we bought has been good for us. In that, I would rate higher. However, I believe we were duped/scammed when we bought the car from the sales agent. We told the rep we would not accept the payment they were quoting us. They kept coming back with different numbers. Eventually they came back with a number of $298 per month, and then mentioned that we could add the extra warranty "if you add the warranty your payment would only go up by about 8-10 dollars". I thought, well that's not too bad. And we accepted it. We went through the paperwork and signed everything. Drove away in our new car. The next day I was reviewing the terms of the deal and realized what happened. The warranty was actually almost $4,000! The warranty actually increased our payment by $70 per month! Not the "8-10 dollars" we were told. Granted, it was my mistake to not fully read the breakdown of the deal. However I believe this was just gross manipulation. Had we known the warranty was THAT expensive, we NEVER would have agreed to it. He lied in quoting us a price of $298, he should have quoted us a price of around $238. I'm guessing the sales agent was to get an extra commission incentive, and used very poor integrity to get the deal done. He was sneaky, and for that reason we will NEVER go back to Mountain Home Auto Ranch!

Run far, far away as fast as you can! We drove 350 miles to purchase a Dodge Grand Caravan 2 weeks ago today. We had been assured that the van had gone through full inspection with no issues. My husband checked everything. Besides, the van came with a warranty which offered peace of mind. Less than 50 miles later, as we were driving to Boise for the night, the gas cap warning and check engine lights came on. Hoping it was just a cap issue we filled up and drive around waiting for it to reset. No such luck. They told us to bring the van in. They replaced the gas cap, reset the lights, and sent us on our way (without topping off our gas tank as promised for the inconvenience). We drove home. The next day the lights were back on but we were 350 miles away!!! The dealership said they would set up an appointment with our local Dodge dealership. 5 days, 2 emails, and several phone calls later we had an appointment scheduled for the following Monday. Our local dealership determined that the evap canister needed to be replaced. While doing their inspection they also noted that there was a significant transmission leak. They contacted Mountain Home Auto Ranch, sent pictures, and were told to just leave it as is. When they told me what was going on I contacted Auto Ranch. Several calls and emails later I was told it was just "normal seepage" and would not effect performance. I double checked with our local dealership who checked fluid levels and provided me with pictures. In 12 days, 3 spent in the shop, we had lost ½ quart of transmission fluid!!! After parking the van overnight in a clean area I checked the ground. Sure enough, there's a spot on the ground! Mountain Home Auto Ranch refuses to honor their warranty. They refuse to get a 2nd opinion before finalizing their decision. I've tried talking to them and finding middle ground. They don't care. Their lemon is off the lot and we have an expensive (warranty covered) repair to pay for after 2 weeks of ownership. Do yourself a favor and run away before you get duped too.

So far not impressed. My wife had a factory safety recall on her door latches. (Doors would actually open on their own while driving). They said they would order the parts and they would be in two or three days. A month later no parts no call. So i went up their with her and they told us they were waiting for a large enough order so they could get free shipping. Its a safety recall and all they cared about was free shipping. Not a place i want to trust with any future repair work. Ill update my review when we get her car back. Edit: They did the work for the recall however they clearly didn't use any type of seat cover or floor cover to protect from grease and oil. She has white and black leather amd they were covered in oil and grease. Not what i would expect from a Ford Dealership Service Department.

They were awesome to deal with, I had such a good experience over the phone that I drove to this location instead of my local dealer. The experience was just as good in person as it was over the phone!

Fast, friendly, and was not pressured into anything. Knew what i wanted and mike was amazing and getting eveything done and my 4 year old daughter was with me and mike and his associates there treated her as there own. I can tell you these guys here need to teach the auto ranch up by the freeway some things!
