I was on a road trip from WA to AZ. I happen to stop and fill up in Mountain Home and to my surprise the minivan I was driving decided to die. A local was kind enough to give me a jump and when asked for an auto parts store he referred me to this Walmart. I drove to the Tire & Lube Express for a new battery. Sandy was very helpful and found the correct battery for my minivan. As a courtesy she asked if I would like one of the technicians to install the battery for me. I gladly agreed since I didn't have any tools with me. The tech had to give me a jump so I could drive the van to their bays. Once I was there he inspected the battery and ran a test on it and he believed it to be good. He inspected the terminals and the positive terminal was in bad shape. He replaced it with a new terminal end from inside the store and it started right up. I didn't need the battery after all and Sandy helped me with my return as well. I wasn't charged for the repair, only for the $3 terminal end. I couldn't be happier with the service and feel I was lucky to stumble across the fine folks of Mountain Home. Thanks for all the help!

If you really need a Walmart in Mountain Home this is it. But for a 45 minutes drive to Boise you could save $30.  Prices on the same items just 45 minutes away are sometimes .30 cents cheaper.  Walmart knows you will pay for the items because you need it now.  I get 30 mpg, I will save the money by doing the drive.  The Walmart corp. should be ashamed to hassle a nice mostly MILITARY town out of hard earned money!

This is it folks...  This is where the magic happens.  This is where the best of Mountain Home's gene pool ends up.  The local Walmart.  Nothing special here, except the creeps who run it.  Although I would be lying if I were to say that there wasn't anything unique about it.  for one there is a nice cart pusher named Chris that works there.  Don't be intimidated if he tells you his real name is Ichigo and that his special powers include; Yelling "BANKAI" and pretending to power up his nonexistent anime powers.  But that's only if you wrong him in any way shape or form.  If mountain home had any sense what so ever, they would plow this monstrous corporate beast and try to bring REAL businesses into the so called "City of Mountain Home".
