The view is amazing and the memorial itself is so heart warming to see. So many wonderful men and women who sacrificed so much to keep us all safe and free. I would love to go back and experience this amazing place again. I truly hope that everyone goes here.

It has been many years since I have visited here and I brought some out-of-town friends. It was easily mapped by Google and I was a very nice drive. We went up the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving and was surprised there is so many people there at that time, but it wasn't overly crowded or overly loud. With a beautiful view; both the monument, the dedication walls and the expansive view of the city. Very peaceful and honoring.

One of the very best viewpoints in San Diego. You can get a good look in nearly every direction. In recent years they've added plaques to commemorate individual veterans, which was a really nice touch.

Such a stunning 360 degree view. It is only fitting that this is a site for fallen veterans. In the midst is the beautiful, towering cross. The curved walls have veterans names, and in many cases, pictures. They are double sided and surround the cross. There are a few breaks in the wall to allow you to go to the other side.

Highly visible coastal promontory offering a drive to summit and rewarding vistas of La Jolla and university areas. The large cross, a long time landmark, has been the centerpiece of a decades long and hotly disputed legal challenge to appropriateness of this religious icon. Dispute finally dismissed in 2015 when park-turned war memorial was transfered to private non governmental ownership and oversight. Free parking. No services available.
