No one ever answers the phone at this place. If I didn't get the letter I mailed certified, I wouldn't even know if it was delivered. I think I got one person to pick up the phone in the past 50 times I tried calling. That pretty much explains the government. Inefficiency, at its best. You'd figure in how much I pay in taxes, they would have someone picking up the phone more often. I'd settle for 1 our of 3 times I call. You'd sooner win the power ball, than get a person on the other line at this joint. They are big at automated messages that tell you nothing. Nice job, Nassau County (sarcasm).

I have been calling multiple times a day for a simple request. No one answers and I am automatically disconnected each time.

The number is answered by an automated message that walks you through prompts and then ultimately disconnects you. The website is a mess as well, broken links that give you an error message when you click on where you want to go. Frustrating to see hard earned tax dollars being collected yet they have antiquated systems and NO way to contact a live person.
