I love Neighborhood cafe! The service is always fantastic. The food is usually on the upper side of average with some standouts (pumpkin pancakes are my fave so far). I like that we never have to wait long to be seated, and the cinnamon rolls are a great free perk - however, the last two times we've had them they have been cold and almost stale. Much better when they are warm. I think it's a good value for the money because the portions are generous, and the restaurant is always clean and welcoming.

Fantastic! The complimentary cinnamon rolls started the meal off on a high note and when the food arrived we stayed excited. Biscuits and sausage gravy that were so peppery I didn't need to add my own pepper, a beautiful rarity. Chicken and waffles that is absolutely too big for one person, giant chicken breasts pounded flat and breaded. Outstanding service. This is a mandatory visit at any time of the day!

This is the quintessential "where the local folks eat" place.  Come here for great breakfast served anytime (incredible Eggs Benedict ) to delicious comfort food for lunch and dinner.  Great service!  Great menu!  Lots of history on the walls!!

Okay I have lived in downtown Lees Summit for over a year and was unaware of this gem.

The menu has depth with multiple options for appetite and budget.

You can tell the cook and staff care about their product it comes through on the taste. They are not just slapping it together they really are cooking it!

This is definitely a great new spot for me and i highly recommend.

Stopped there for breakfast before boarding a train.  Breakfast was very good but the cinnamon roll was not.  Tasted old and like it may have been frozen before.  I think the one in the Waldo area is better.
