Disappointed by the service here. I often call billing whom rarely answers. I am usually directed to a voicemail, which I don’t know what the point is when I never receive a call back. This has happened several times for my billing issue. I’m regards to my billing issue, my monthly parking card is voided even though I was told it should be activated beginning of the month added reoccurring payment prior month. My card is still voided and I have to continue paying $23 a day to park my car. These rates are not cheap and it doesn’t help when customer service is barely there to aid. I’m not surprised given all the poor reviews . But being this is my only option to park , I’m SOL.
Literally the worst parking system in the whole state! They void your card every few months to get you to pay for daily parking fee of $23 on top of your monthly parking fee. They won’t answer your calls so you keep losing time and money. And when they do answer your calls, they will do whatever it takes to not help you. Most of the workers are extremely rude - this might be their job requirement. I feel like I’m the customer service when I call them. Hours of operation are 8am to 4:30pm so if you need them before or after those hours, good luck keeping yourself sane.
iterally the worst department I ever dealt with. I had a vehicle loaner car since my car was getting serviced and they came into the parking lot at 12 am and 3 am on the same day and gave me two citations for parking in a public parking lot. Obviously I was sleeping since I live here year round. Never emailed me or sent me a letter to my apartment. Both citations are ridiculously priced at $50. The only way I found out there was any citation was through my boss since I work at a dealership and had their loaner car. So because I park in that lot every night since their is no street parking, I looked up my cars license plate number and my boyfriends they gave us multiple citations that we had no clue about. I live not even 2 mins from the lot and they didn't even send us any type of notice. Iv noticed they like to wait until it is midnight to then give citations out to people which I think is very scummy of them to do that. This whole department is a scam and does not care about anyone other then money. PROVIDE PARKING TO RESIDENTS WHO LIVE HERE ALL YEAR ROUND!!!
One of the parking police, Peo, comes late like 6pm on a Friday night to give tenants tickets. But when countless Rutgers students take up the parking on our street during the day, there's nothing. They can see the car registration is registered to the street. Even when we have someone temporarily parking to make a delivery. It's ridiculous. Also, resident permit parking is supposed to be auto-renewable as long as your license and registration match the address and yet, my permit keeps being expired and no reminder emails received.
NBPA needs a better parking system!!!!! Even if YOU’RE A REGISTERED TENANT THEY GIVE YOU A TICKET EVERYDAY!!! Been a registered tenant for 3 years and have gotten thousands of tickets parking in front of MY REGISTERED ADDRESS..
Pretty amazing how the NPBA says they want to be about customer service and then leaves their Nissan Leaf in one of the only 5 EV charging spots at Gateway after it's done charging.
Parked at a parking garage and paid on the app for the amount of time I needed and continually refilled the time before it expired. Got a ticket for exceeding the time limit, but I never let it expire. Called New Brunswick Parking Authority about it and they told me I parked in an electric car spot which I did not. The sign in front of my car said compact car and so I either paid for the wrong parking spot or they ticketed me for no reason. Man on the phone was rude and so, not only did I pay for parking, but I now have to pay a $30 ticket or get a summons to court. Be very careful parking here because if they mess up, you'll have to go to court to fight it which is a waste of time for someone that doesn't live close. Cheating people out of money is what they are doing there.
Rudest people I’ve ever spoken too. Literally just want your money. I usually never write reviews but gosh… it’s like no one wants to help.
Honestly, an easy experience. Went into office and filled out a form. They asked for additional information for a discount. In and out and 5 minutes with my monthly pass. This is not a bad agency for this service at all. I recommend. Payment is online and its up to you to stay on top of your payments.
THEY MAKE YOU PAY TWICE! Signed up for a monthly parking pass in person very nice gentleman, all COVID caution precautions taken. I thought I was signing up for autopay by providing my cc number and because I was given instructions to notify them by mid-month to get a prorated fee whenever I no longer needed parking. I found out later that I was not actually signed up for autopay when my card stopped working and I had to pay for parking through the garage's ticket system while my online NBPA account was being processed not automatic. However, the office refuses to refund/discount/prorate for the time that I pulled tickets and is essence forcing me to pay for the entire month AND the amount I paid when I used the garage's ticket system. Everyone I spoke to was polite and lovely, but the policy is ridiculous and should be changed. I would also highly recommend that the instructions be made clear verbally about next steps for future payments b/c the written instructions are not clear when you go to the office.
