New River's Edge is not the easiest to find, but the reward is worth the effort! We spent a beautiful Father's Day afternoon canoeing and kayaking (and we could have chosen to go tubing as well!) on the placid river for a mere $15 per person. For only an extra $5 the super friendly proprietor will take you up the river for a 7 mile float/paddle downstream back to the property, and we will for sure be back to do this again before too long. 

This stretch of the river was much more unspoiled and beautiful than the trips out of Radford, and there were plenty of places to pull up to the shore and wade in to swim. This is a delightful place-- I am so glad we found it!

Today is my birthday and what better way than to celebrate on the river! From the beginning of us getting here till the time we left was an amazing experience. Mr. Paul was extremely friendly and welcoming. What I loved the most was being able to try just about everything from Tubing, kayaking and trying out paddle boarding for the first time. I couldn't have asked for a better way to have spent my birthday. Thank you for making my 25th birthday a blast!!

Best fun I've had all year. Just let the river carry all your worries away. Gentle rapids, leisurely drifting down the New River. We will definitely be back.

We loved our morning at New River's Edge.  The owner was so friendly, accommodating, and flexible and we spent hours rafting, kayaking, and paddleboarding.   His property is full of water craft - all rented for one reasonable price and you can switch out equipment.  There's also an area for swimming and picnicking.  He will drive you 1 mile up river to where there are small rapids for tubing, canoeing, or Kayaking.  They're small enough we went with a 5 year old no prob.  Its then a lazy 30 minutes float down the rest of the river.  You can repeat this multiple times.  I can't recommend this wonderful small business enough.

We had our wedding here in October.  It was the perfect setting for our event and the owner Paul was very accommodating.  The rustic A-frame worked out great as a place for the wedding party to stay.  We had plenty room for the ceremony and reception, plus the setting on the river is beautiful.  It would also be a great place for a family reunion or just some friends getting together.  A big plus is that all the boats and tubes are available for guests to use during their stay.
