Came in with the family and did the hibachi dining not only was the food delicious it’s was very filling with lots of leftovers. The cook was very fun and friendly put on a nice show while cooking. The rest of the staff was very nice and friendly made me and my family feel very welcome. It’s was a great atmosphere will defiantly be back.

Best Chinese food around.  If you plan on going during their busy time... Make reservations!   You can easily end up waiting an hour.  They almost always have a toy for the little ones along with crayons and an activity sheet.   Staff is very friendly, but this place can get really busy, so anticipate a wait.   They do have it all, good Chinese, a sushi bar, and hibachi area recently added.

Very good service and good food. I'm a lover of good Chinese food.

My group of seniors consisted of 4 in wheelchairs, 2 using walkers, and 2 walking. And we were greatly accommodated.

I have eaten Chinese food in San Francisco, CA and know what is good food.

We will go back again.

Grew up going here at least a few times a month from the 90s through the early 00s. Made a point to visit every chance I got after moving to the city. It has gotten progressively worse under the new management. After this last visit I probably won't be back. Recipes have changed too much and some age old favorites give me an immediate headache after eating now. It's a shame, New Star was what I compared every Chinese restaurant I've eaten in to. The egg rolls are still the best I've ever had, so I'll give them 2 stars.

I was invited to New Star and was not sure I would find anything unusual. I was surprised when I was served Hot And Sour Soup. It was very good and flavorful. The Egg Rolls were well seasoned. I thoroughly enjoyed the Egg Fu Yong. That was just the food. The service was outstanding. Great experience.
