New Orleans' finest Sushi Bar and Japanese Kitchen
Ninja has been family owned and operated since 1993, when we opened our first location in a little shotgun style restaurant on Jeanette Street, in Uptown New Orleans. Over the next few years, our customer base and popularity grew rapidly until July of 2001, when we moved out of our close quarters to accommodate the large crowds that would gather for our first rate sushi and other Japanese fare. Relocated to 8433 Oak street, Uptown regulars and young families toting small children enjoy our award winning menu. The large amount of daily regulars is a testimony in itself to the friendly, courteous, and experienced staff and overall high quality dining experience.
Now located at 8433 Oak Street, we provide off street parking and a 90-guest capacity dining room, including 18 seats at our sushi bar. We can accommodate large parties as well. We offer large flat screen television sets viewable from most every seat in our dining room for you to enjoy your favorite sports team. We also provide an accessible elevator if needed. In the case that our dining room fills up, we use state-of-the-art radio headsets to communicate between upstairs and downstairs so you can enjoy a drink at our downstairs fully stocked bar while you wait for your table.
We have a large menu that can accommodate most any diet including our many vegetarian dishes. If it’s not on the menu, let us know as we can accommodate special dietary needs. All of our sauces and dressings are made fresh daily in house. Our fresh seafood and vegetables are delivered daily. Kid-friendly, we provide a kids’ menu with fun prizes.
If you are looking for a night with great Japanese cuisine from the luxury of your own home. Take-out is also available.
You can also find us at New Orleans local events providing food and beverages such as New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, French Quarter Festival, and Japan Festival.
We have Ninja t-shirts and other apparels for sale. If you wear your Ninja t-shirt into the restaurant, you will have dessert on us every time you wear it.
