Went here for the first time with my mother for lunch. Our waitress was prompt and attentive. They have a nice varity of beer available. My favorite thing about this place is their burgers. They are so good, and you can create your own interesting and unique to your taste meal. The pub chips were very good, and the burger was cooked perfectly. Would go back in a heartbeat. 
Warning: the garlic burger is so deliciously garlic-y you will taste it all day

Nitty Gritty prides themselves on their burgers. My personal opinion was they aren't that special for all the hype. Good location for your birthday as they have birthday specials though.

Specialty burgers- beef,  chicken,  black bean... great selection.  Celebrate your birthday here - get your mug and have them ring the bell! Family Fun!

Good neighborhood bar with good bar food. Wide selection of burgers and beers. Drink free beer on your birthday is a bonus! Always have encountered a friendly staff every time I have been there.

Got seated right away. Food was fine if pricey, but took a long time to arrive. Service was infrequent and fairly slip shod despite that it wasn't particularly busy. My Bill was wrong, even after pointing out that it wasn't accurate and verbally confirming what I had ordered at the bar. Can't say I'd recommend this place.
