Had the "bigger" "better" breakfast. It tasted good and was "Big" but it would be better if they drained much of the grease off the meats. I had to use at least 4 Napkins to drain the grease.... that's when I realized that it's a dam good thing I only do an occasional splurge.... and that they didn't run out of Napkins!

I ordered the steak and shrimp special. It came with soup and salad and dessert. The chicken tortilla soup was excellent. My server was very friendly and made sure my food order was correct and even suggested which cake I would like. I upgraded the baked potato toppings. It was actually TOO much food.

We stopped here at Norms with two toddlers that are picky eaters.
The atmosphere is nice, we were not offered a booster for our tiniest tot that had to half sit on his knees, we should have asked however were focused on getting either to eat, we had to switch plates due to the kids spaghetti having onions in it that our older tot just flat out refused to eat. We ended up getting to go boxes as both kids ate off of just the macaroni and cheese dish. 
I ordered pastrami fries and 2/3rds of the fries were not cooked, however most of it was okay, wish there was a tad bit more of pastrami on top! My daughter's food was.. bland, nothing special. 
Our waitress had a conversation with the people in the next booth about secret shoppers and how she has to perform in certain manners, suggest certain foods.. etc, we felt this was not on a professional level. 
The ladies restroom was very small and made it complicated to take two toddlers to the restroom at the same time.
Not sure if we would return. 

Overall, first appearance I was excited especially since the reviews were all so great and the restaurant  looked so clean and well put together.

I've been to Norms twice, but I've only been to this one once. I ordered the chicken tenders meal. It came with salad, a baked potato, cooked carrots, soup, and the chicken tenders of course. My drink was an Arnold Palmer. The drink was all lemonade and no tea. It hurt my mouth to drink it. Another waiter offered to fix it after my friend flashed him down. He brought me a new one, but it just tasted watery. All three of us had a salad with way too much dressing. Maybe it would've been better if it was on the side. My soup was room temperature at best and my cooked carrots were actually cold to the touch. The chicken tenders had a lot of hard pieces that were inedible. The other two people at the table had less problems than i had with their meals, so maybe it was just a bad meal choice.

Norm's just, flat out, beats the competition in Huntington Beach/Fountain Valley. Better than all the other chain - style restaurants and better than most of the more expensive local restaurants as well. 
You can't go wrong with the Bigger, Better Breakfast. Weekdays about $7 and about $9 on the weekend. Eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, hash browns, and pancakes ... add coffee and your still under $10 during the week. 
I've also had there steak breakfast.  Delicious and affordable. 
The HB/FV location on Beach Blvd has an excellent service staff that create an outstanding family atmosphere while providing excellent service with great attitudes. 
Forget the other places -- especially for breakfast -- and enjoy yourself at Norm's.
