I wish we came during better tide conditions as my wife wanted to explore the beach for beach glass. We were trying to hike 2 miles to glass beach but made it 200 yards due to tidal conditions. During our stay, high tide was too great. Check tidal charts before you go. There is also hiking into the fort. Wish we had more time

Excellent spot for beach glass and pottery finding. Great place to hike and picnic. Good for families and dogs on leashes.

It's a pretty beach, typical to Washington. Small pieces of sea glass can be found on the beach, in reds, greens, whites, blues, and oranges. The kids had a fun time, but it is a heck of a trek to get to Glass Beach from here... bring a small shovel or rake, small container to gather your beach treasure, sunblock, toilet paper (there are no bathrooms on the way), water and lunch.

This is such a gem and kid/dog friendly! Lots of great people to meet or to just walk the beach. Beachcombing is a must and a well timed 3 mile home to Glass beach is great (not so kid friendly though). Just make sure to watch the tides!

Great beach to walk for MILES and MILES. Anemones, Eagle, Otter, agates and drift wood. Wait until the tide if half too low and the walking is great on a primarily sandy or pebble beach. There are areas of larger rocks, be careful they can be slippery do watch your step.
