I needed a reprint my Birth Certificate in order to renew my SCDL. I expressed the urgency due to a new career opportunity. I was told 6-8 weeks to print and send out via USPS. It takes 6-8 weeks to print a piece of paper and drop in the mail??? I'm on week 8 and still NO BC! Meanwhile I have been unemployed due to North Carolina's BUREAUCRACY!!! Our tax dollars fine at work!

It would be zero starts, if I could. I sent off for my birth cert on 11/27. My money order was cashed on 12/4. Today is 2/5 and still no birth cert. I called last week on Thursday morning. Was quickly transferred to a voicemail which said my call would be returned within 24 hrs. Well today is Monday, no call back and no certificate. This is the worst customer service ever. And it seems no one is accountable to just do their job. No reason it should take this long.... Unacceptable and disappointing. :(

If there was a way to give less than one star I would do so. The entire group of staff members are condescending and insensitive to NC citizens. They continuously cut me off, transferred me between departments, and then basically reprimanded me for not providing them with the full story, which was their purpose for non-stop transferring. Horrific experience. If this were a company, I would cease patronizing it and share my poor experience with the owner. Shameful government employees. I'm embarrassed that this is the representation of service that wake county is providing. I truly hope that this is not an out of town person's only or first interaction with NC.

Very bad customer service. I paid a lawyer to have my child's name changed and they made the change but in error changed it back to the same name. When i tried to call to check on my birth certificate and name change and the lady handling calls was very rude and would not speak to me insisted that my lawyer call in. That's when it was discovered that the change was made but changed right back to the same name. A complete and total waste of my time.

Bad telephone customer service. The first person I spoke with was clearly having a bad day. I called back for a dose of "less dry." If they don't want to do the jobs, I wish they would hire someone that needs the money and would appreciate the opportunity. Do not let them get the best of you. They are there to assist.
