over all the school isnt too bad. The teachers care and try to help you get a good education. Although the food (at least in the sandwich line) is usually under cooked and the rest of the food is pretty bad honestly. But other than that the school is a good place!

I recently transferred to this school. Coming from a smaller school, I am able to say that this school wasn't the best. There are some amazing teachers that really care about your learning. I am a 4.0 student (have always been) and really feel like some teachers really helped with the transition. However, these amazing teachers aren't able to perform their best when there are many immature kids disrupting class. It is very hard to stay on task and get through all of the lessons. The kids at this school aren't very welcoming. I have only made one friend, and he is new to the school too. In my study skills class, there was a substitute for a day. She wasn't that strict and she was able to keep the class tame for 45 minutes. When my teacher came back the next day, he asked us how the substitute was. My classmates all said they didn't like the substitute teacher because "she was rude." She wasn't rude at all and they just didn't like how she had us do something productive. (Such as reading and working on assignments.) Honestly, my experience has been pretty tough so far, and I am by far not going to attend this school next year. I wish I was able to switch currently, however, I am not able to because schools are only letting people enroll for the following year.

very interesting place. ill have fun every now and then pranking people in the commons and most of the ppl are okay with it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. i think i overheard an officer talking about distribution of meth, and people got caught smoking weed in the bathrooms so thats kinda cool ig. i havent had problems with any students this year but half of the people that go here are fake anyway. teachers are laid back and chill, not only that but they let us make memes out of them! theres always some sort of drama going around, and the lunch is god awful. i swear sometimes i have to ask myself if were getting our food from the landfill a couple miles down the road. overall nljh is easily comparable to prison, the colors in the cafeteria remind me of escape from alcatraz and no one really knows how to express how they feel so every now and then youll hear screaming and wailing in the hallways. im so bored im actually writing this review in calss. i guess i dont really know how to explain it, nljh isnt good, but it isnt bad.

This school is not great, but it definitely is not the worst. I know much worse schools. Now with the new principal, Mr. Campbell, the school has become MUCH better than in the past. He has done renovations that has made it safer, and a lot cleaner. It is also very accepting of the LGBTQ+ community. But the cons outweigh the pros. One of the major problems here is lunch. The food is often cold, soggy, and/or under cooked. They might as well serve raw chicken here, since they can't even cook it. Most of the lunch ladies are impatient and rude to the students and the other lunch ladies. Not to mention a ridiculous amount of the food is moldy. The teachers enjoy to ridicule the students, from what I've seen, they especially like to do so to the ones who seem most troubled. I have seen a teacher send a student to ISS for coughing. The amount of depressed students here is overwhelming. A few of my friends (I won't give names because privacy) have done some form of self harm. In fact, a majority of the students here have done some form of self harming. Other notes: Many students yell out racial slurs without any form of consequence. A few students have smoked. A lot of rumors have been spread. 8th and 9th graders are asses to the 7th graders. There you have it. NLJH.

The only reason i like this school is because of the orchestra teacher Mrs. Loveless and my LP teacher Mrs. Morrill. I've never eaten the food here but whenever my friend Pidge eats the pizza here its almost always frozen. The kids here are kind of rude especially to nerds like myself. I'm in eighth grade and I feel like if I ask my math teacher, Mrs. Capron, for help she'll yell at me. Also I hate the ideas of second lunch and first lunch because I cant eat with my girlfriend every day and I almost always get hungry on B days when I have second lunch. It just gives me anxiety to not sit and eat with my friends every day.
