Cleanest, friendliest hospital I have ever seen. They took wonderful care of my mother and they have given our family real true hope for her recovery. Top notch staff. We travel 1 1/2 hrs to go to this hospital because of the quality of care given. I can't thank them enough for the wonderful job they do.

My experience here in the Emergency department was the most pleasurable one I've had in a hospital. The nursing staff was polite and supportive. The physicians were attentive and informative.  I was treated with the utmost respect. I'll recommend this place to anyone.

I wouldn't go there for a hang nail. 8hrs with no pain meds after major surgery!!
Vassar is even worse. Go to Putnam Hospital. Clean facility and awesome staff

I read a number of negative reviews of the ER at NDH  so was nervous about having to visit it. I'm relieved, grateful, and happy to say every doctor and nurse I encountered there was very kind and professional.  If you should be in the unfortunate position of needing immediate help don't hesitate.

I visited the same Radiology folks four times in about six weeks. Different procedures and issues each time, but I cannot express how consistently wonderful, professional, informative, supportive and kind they all were during some difficult procedures. I also was admitted to the hospital during one of these times, and the experience from the ER to the discharge was unexpectedly fantastic. At each phase of my visit I was impressed with the level of individual care consistent from the admissions, to the nurses, janitorial folks and orderlies, even the food service person. All genuinely cared and engaged with me personally and it felt so reassuring and wonderful during an unexpected incident. This is the level of care we should all be receiving in all health care experiences.
