Story

Northland Public Library is a public library serving Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Located in McCandless Township about eight miles north of downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, it is operated as a municipal authority supported by the residents of McCandless, Ross Township, the Borough of Franklin Park, Marshall Township, and the Borough of Bradford Woods. It is one of the largest suburban public libraries in Pennsylvania with over 38,000 cardholders and well over 1 million items circulated in 2013.

Love this library and the ladies at the desk. They are friendly and personable and always willing to help. Recently the manager took the time to listen to a situation our family found ourselves in and went over and above my expectations to ease our pain. This is why I love this library. Everyone there treats you like a friend of the library!

Great library and staff. Found the management to be helpful when some out of control things happened with personal life. If not for them I would not be a huge library user again. Thank you for understanding.

I have encountered unbelievably rude management here. I'm convinced they (management) are sorely lacking in social skills and politeness. My advice is to stick to Shaler - they are much friendlier. Who lets their managers treat the public like that? I felt like a criminal.

Great library and location, but haven't had the friendliest interactions with front desk staff. They always seem annoyed on the few occasions I've inquired about books, etc, but this won't keep me from utilizing the facility.

Awful treatment from library staff manager. Her staff asked me not to bring them into an inquiry with her as they are afraid of her. I just had an inquiry and was berated.
