Some reviewers don’t know the difference between the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Department and the Okeechobee City Police Department. This is coming from a 15 year old. The cases that are being mentioned in these reviews are with the OCSD. We have one of the best police departments in florida, if not the best. Even though there jurisdiction is close corders (city limits). They know how to operate very well. Thank you for your service.

Locking an autistic ten year old in a cell over night? Humiliating him at school when you could have "arrested" him at home? Barbaric and unnecessary. Reevaluate your standard procedure, especially with youth. You taint this child's future and get him started in a system that is very difficult to escape and where little to no rehabilitative services are offered for children without mental disabilities, much less those with them. This is horrific and your department should be seriously rethinking their policies...especially as they pertain to youth and school reporting.

Justice for Aaron! Luring an autistic child from his home and holding his hostage while viciously beating and mauling him is a serious crime. Get up off your asses and deal with this violent crime. Charge all of these horrible people with all of these crimes! Throw the book at all of them! That horrible kid who was punching him and kicking him needs to spend some time in the hole. I cant believe anyone would ever do something so deplorable. The person who filmed it needs to be charged straight down to everyone inside that house!#justiceforaaron

I had someone steal money from my home, although there is nothing that can be done the woman that came to my house was very nice and helpful. She listened calmly and unjudgingly as I explained to her what had happened and took a report just so it can go on file.
