I am the new Practice manager of this Banfield location.  This hospital has 3 wonderful doctors, Dr. Schmitt, Dr. Florance, and Dr. Frye, and an amazing staff.  We are all committed to advocating for the health of your pet(s) and will do our best to educate you about your pets needs. I brought my dog in to be put down; a sad an awful decision to make. I first have to sit through a sales pitch to now send him to an internal medicine Vet. Then have to be asked multiple times why I think he is sick. (He can't control his bowel or urinary habits with decreasing caliber stool for 3 months and it's getting worse, he has lost 20% of his body weight...all obvious signs of malignancy if you know anything about medicine.)

Then they can't start a catheter. They sedate him with am IM medication and try again for 30+ mins and I can hear him whimpering and crying.  Then he comes back with a non functional IV covered in his own blood, urine, and feces. Then they offer to breathe him down, why not offer that immediately. We were there for 2 hours and all that was accomplished was putting myself and my friend through suffering. 

Do not go to Dr. Frye or this location.  Peace and dignity mean nothing here. Disgusting.

I hate leaving reviews like this!! So much as so that I almost didn't. 
The only reason I gave a one star is because they were super sweet, the vet, the tech and the front desk lady...but here is why they got a crappy rating....
I adopted and little dog from the Okc Animal shleter. Two days after I got him home he was vomiting and feeling like poo w a high temp. So I took him to this location. 
They told me it was either parvo or a bowel obstruction. 
They wanted to charge me $700 JUST TO FIND OUR WHAT WAS WRONG and also wanted to keep my dog for how ever long. I don't have $700!!!!!! I wanted to take him home and get a second opinion. The vet told me that with his temp being high that he wouldn't live thru the night and I needed to make a decision. 
I opted to put him to sleep.........................they wanted to charge me $100 just to do that!!! 
I told them to go ahead and do a parvo test which was $60 annd was negative! Yay!!! 
I called my home vet and they examined him and told me that there was no way she was going to put him to sleep...because all HE HAD WAS GAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
That was it!!!! I am so thankful I did not have them put my boy to sleep!!! 
He is happy and healthy!!! 
NO THANKS TO BANFIELD. 
Never again will we step foot thru those doors!!!

We came in to our scheduled appointment, Shadow and I were super comfortable from beginning to end of visit. The vet was very thorough. She spent a lot of time with us. She offered tons of recommendations without the pressure of making any immediate choices. And, she gave me great news that my dog did not have cancer!
