Doctor Steven Hodges! Amazing vet! We are coming back if we ever need our babies looked at again. We were referred to him from Banfeild when our vet came out with an odd reading on blood. Dr. Hodges came in and explained all the possibilities, the treatment options and costs, his recommendations and even drew us pictures while explaining so we had a visual of our dog's biological features. He is great with animals and doesn't baby talk them either, hut spoke to all of us like we all had brains. Very cool guy, best we have ever had. -River and her happy parents

The bills are MASSIVE!  Its a shame because they could help many more if they were in the business of helping rather making PILES OF MONEY.  

Edit: In response to the doctors response to me.  We rescue animals because we have hearts and understand they need help.  
Your office knows you have pet owners by the heart strings.  If you had said I needed to pay one million dollars I wouldn't have flinched as I love my pet MORE than your office loves PILES OF MONEY.  At the end of the day pet owners will sacrifice EVERYTHING to save their injured animals.

ANOTHER edit:  How about your office try to be proactive instead of reactive to these reviews?  Listening to you smooth over exorbitant prices over the phone isn't my intention.  Im sure you see plenty of pets to make up for overhead.  Less talk and more action will be the RIGHT course of action.

My mother and I took my dog in today because of him limping on his back leg and whimpering. The staff was so nice and personable, they did their best with him! We got a plan from the vet and are going to follow up with a family veterinarian, but we were so grateful that they were opened on a Sunday, and there was no wait! I would definitely recommend Oklahoma Veterinary Specialist to anyone who needs to take their fur baby in for an emergency! I seen some people complaining about prices, but it's like an ER for animals lol, and our baby is priceless so money was not an issue for us, but I can see how it could be for others who don't have the funds. Anyways, very pleased!! Great job!

Treated our family with care and respect. Super nice vets and staff. This place is such a great idea for animal lovers to take and have them treated immediately. Prices were what i expected for an ER animal hospital

Took good care of my dog. I knew the surgery with them was in good hands even though their prices are higher than local veterinarians. They give you the estimation of the surgery and mine was in the ballpark, no suprises. They accept care credit.My dog is well now and i have no complaints.
