Old Capital Tavern is an upscale Craft Beer bar featuring 50 Craft Brews on tap and over 125 different whiskies. We also offer upscale out of the ordinary dining for lunch and dinner. Excellent craft beer selection along with the best collection of whiskey in Central Minnesota (whiskey is 50% off Sundays). They even have a decent number of unique gins. Service is attentive and prompt (I like that even if you're only there for a beer they ALWAYS give you a water) and the food is usually excellent. It can get busy for dinner but, it's amazing, the place usually almost completely clears out between 9-10pm. A good place to relax and enjoy a beer (or whiskey), (or gin).

This place is awesome good beer and bourbon selection and the food is great. The French onion soup is one of my favorites flavors are balanced and pairs well with the W L Weller Reserve the service is great and the bar is nice. Had the chopped house salad with chicken with their house made ranch dressing. Chicken was moist and not dry Good job on the ranch overall I am very pleased with this place. Too bad I won't be back for another three months

Been here many times. Love every item i have ordered off the menu. Amazing food. Great selection of beers. Great place!

Coleslaw was way too spicy. Need a better sandwich selection. Bring back the Cuban sandwich. Get regular barbecue sauce, not hot barbecue sauce. Great beer and drink selection.

Wonderful atmosphere, FANTASTIC food and very friendly and polite wait staff. We had about a 15 minute wait for a table, but it didn't feel long. And when we ordered our food it was out surprisingly quickly!
