I have yet to be disappointed by an Old Chicago experience (knocks on wood). They have great happy hour and late night deals. I tried the late night menu for the first time and was pleased with the size and prices. Pub pizzas for $2 or $3, Parmesan garlic fries $3, wings for $4, and so forth. But even on regular hours, I’m content at spending my money at this establishment. The service is typically good, the pizza is delicious, I walk out stuffed and with leftovers. Give it a try !

Old Chicago makes what I called "old fashioned" American pizza. I know they call their deep dish pizza Chicago style, but I don't know of any place in Dallas that truly makes deep dish pizza pies like used to be available. So, by old-fashioned American pizza, I mean that they make a good thick crust pizza with plenty of cheese and ingredients just like so many dine-in pizza restaurants used to make in the 70s and 80s before most of them got driven out of business by the $5 and $10 carry-out craze. Old Chicago is part of a resurgence of high-priced, high-quality pizza. Old Chicago is not trying to compete with the national carry-out brands, or the well-received family-owned New York style thin crust pizza establishments that have cropped up all over America since the 90s. If you know what I mean, you will enjoy the Old Chicago. If you don't know what I mean, it's worth a try.

The service was great. Ordered the first pizza on the menu with Ale Crust, it was tasty but flimsy. Ended up using a fork and knife to eat pizza. Next time I'll try the thicker crust pizza. We were happy otherwise with the seating and the general atmosphere of a restaurant/sports bar on Friday evening, lots of family filled tables.

The first time here I loved the place but not today! The manager turn the juke box off after I paid money to play music, just so he could turn the volume up on some basketball game. I could understand it if it was the Mavs were playing or even Houston. On top of that I waited over 50 minutes for a pizza and they weren't that busy. The pizza was OK not great but not bad. This place could be great if they get their act together. Bad!

Service at the bar is wonderful. Happy Hour food and drink prices are reasonable. Overall, a great place to come for after work drinks or an early dinner.
