My wife has used Old Town Cleaners for several years. We have used the mid town location on Walton since 2006. Recently, my wife delivered several garments to the mid town location. There was some sort of conflict between mid town and the main site address for Old Town. The main facility felt we had dropped our garments off at there address and did not want to bring the garments back to the mid town address for us to pick up. We felt we were in the middle of a dispute between the two locations. The main site address was just certain that we had dropped our garments there and expected us to pick them up at that location. At any rate, we had not been to the main site address in years. Once we were pushed through the politics associated with the main site address, its no wonder they did not want to deliver the garments. Several items were ruined by Old Town Cleaners. Every item had the same color stain on it. These were not stained when we took the items in for cleaning. Old Town had a history dateing back for years of not only these particular garments but a pattren of how my wife's garments usually come through the cleaners. Old Town really stood up and attempted to resolve the issue by offering to reclean the garments. What they failed to tell us was that by offering to reclean, they would also be able to identify the very stains that they themselves had created in the garments. Once this process occured, they did not want to be responsible for the garments because, after all; they had a tag indicating the garment was soiled. We attempted to address this issue with the main site address because all of the other locations are simply drop off points. I don't feel comfortable mentioning the name of the person at the main location, I can simply tell you that if there is a problem, a lady at the main site address will do almost anything to avoid responsibility or creating any integrety for Old Town Cleaners. We were accused of taking posession of the laundry between the cleaning and the recleaning. That never occured. We never left the location with the soiled garments. We were accused of having items dry cleaned that say they can be laundred and in some way, this was part of the problem. The fact that they had a history of cleaning these very items the same way for years had little merit when it came time to take responsibility for ruining clothes. They once again, made it very clear that we had delivered the clothes to one site address and attempted to pick them up somewhere else. That never happened and if it did, how would that soil the garments. We left them at cleaners too long and the garments got soiled. If we were willing to pay for a chemical analysis that was negotiated through their store, and if the analysis confirmed fault, they would pro-rate the garments through some scale that they used but could not varify through documentation. What the heck, if you need your closets cleaned out and want several items destroyed, take them to Old Town Cleaners. If you want some one to absolutely come up with every excuss in the world, go see the manager of the main site address of Old Town Cleaners. If you're willing to be treated like you have something to do with the break down in the policys and procedures associated with Old Town Cleaners, go to the main site address and you will certainly be read the riot-act.
