You'll have a major decision to make at Olde Main Eatery: breakfast or lunch? An all-day breakfast menu of omelets and biscuits and gravy pits itself against a slate of light wraps and hearty patty melts. The french toast tempts with its light cinnamon coating, as do burgers and build-your-own deli sandwiches stacked on sourdough, marble rye, and croissant slices. The 150-year-old diner exudes an air of small-town Americana, from its green- and white-striped awning and historic photographs lining the wall, to the staff's impromptu productions of The Music Man. You'd expect home made everything, huge portions, and dirt cheap prices. You get what's not too far off from what you can get with a school lunch for a fair price. Good staff though. All together still better than Perkins.

Old fashioned service, portions and proceed. Denver sandwich and corned beef hash with eggs and had browns were great. Good coffee.

The food and service has always been great over the yrs I've been coming here. The owner is very friendly and makes everyone feel welcome. However, the service hasn't been great lately although today I'm seeing some new wait staff and this is the best service I've gotten in the last 6 months. The last time I was here they had a sign up looking for a new cook. They found one but he needs to step up his game a bit. My omelette was raw egg on the inside. Despite it all I will come back 😀

Congratulations to the Olde Main Eatery for being voted upon by the local business community for BEST BREAKFAST in the city of Elk River! Surveys were conducted by Captive Audience Media in which over 100 local businesses were asked to vote on their favorite Breakfast in the city of Elk River. This Gem of a restaurant serves amazing food followed by incredible customer service! The owners and their amazing staff were very friendly, attentive, and take much pride in their Restaurant which influenced the businesses decision as voting them the BEST of the BEST! Olde Main Eatery will be taking part in a wonderful program that strengthens their relationship with the local businesses even further. Captive Audience will be providing the Restaurant with brand new, high gloss, beautiful tables in which the local businesses will be featured permanently on the tabletops for 2 full years! This program is an incredible way for the local businesses to receive exposure for their business! The food was pretty good (I got the eggs Benedict), the owner was friendly, and the service at our table was fine. The atmosphere was nice and I enjoyed the pictures of how Elk River used to look. The only weird thing was the back benches that tip easily if you make the mistake of sitting on an end to make more space for other people who may show up, or if you're sharing the bench and sitting on the end when the other people leave.
