We needed a mover for my daughter’s apartment. I researched the flyers that she received and they were all F on BBB. I found Olde World based on their BBB rating and other good reviews. Very friendly office staff taking reservations. We only needed an apartment move but they say they handle much larger moves. The movers showed up early. They wrapped all of the furniture for protection which was great. The big thing is that the price was also exactly as quoted. No extra charges or last minute increases that other movers are accused of doing. We will use them again for our next move.

Olde World Movers was highly recommended to me by my daughter, sister-in-law; and a family friend.  They arrived on time and went right to work wrapping my furniture as if they were moving it across the country instead of a few miles across town. They were very efficient and accommodating. Most of all they were very patient with me when I would request that they relocate a piece of furniture that I decided needed to go somewhere other than my original plan.  Nothing was damaged during the move. I’m very happy that I chose Olde World Movers!!

Excellent service!  Domingo, Mike, and Mike are the best! Our plans changed at the last minute and we added more furniture to be moved into storage with an extra stop to move a second piano to another location.  It was a bitterly cold day and the truck was too high to clear the entrance at our storage unit which meant extra effort on their part to move very heavy furniture up a driveway to the unit.  Not a single complaint from them - they did it with smiles on their faces, great attitudes, and took much pride in their work. We would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone for your moving needs!

I contracted Olde World Movers to move all my stuff across town to our new house. They were on time, very professional and courteous. Everything made it to the new house with no damage whatsoever. They took care in the new house, taking doors off of hinges when necessary, being very careful with the new hardwood floors, reassembling everything just right. I couldn't be happier with their service and plan to use them anytime I need to have something moved in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

I'd like to start with how unhelpful and deceitful the owner was of Olde World Movers was. I had submitted an estimate two months prior to moving - needless to say a lot was in flux as far as actual boxes to be moved. I had filled out the form that I was moving out of a one  bedroom apartment with stairs to a mid-rise apartment with an elevator. If I had left the online form to chance I would have not submitted this review - but I had called Olde World Movers and spoke to the owner - who provided me the quote - to explain my situation. I explained where I was at in my move process and had called because the quote had accidentally ended up in my junk email. When I called, we discussed my move and again the owner confirmed my quote and advised that the price would not increase from the quoted amount. Feeling comfortable after this call, I felt no need to follow up. The day of my move I received a rude awakening when the entire time I was quoted ended up being the amount of time it took to pack my one bedroom apartment, I was concerned about glassware so instead of packing large amounts of glass into large boxes, I took the time to pack smaller, lighter boxes with glass. I know this is a factor time-wise but do not believe that this is what led my move to be so off track I paid OVER DOUBLE what I was quoted. Mid-move I called the owner to discuss a new estimate and follow up on our original call. He acted as if he had no idea why I was concerned or confused about looking at what he, as the owner and expert in this matter, quoted me. He completely wrote off my conversation. Feeling bad for the movers, I offered to buy lunch and drinks (lunch they declined) and explained my interest in receiving a new quote. They apologized as the owner had misled me as far as my quote was concerned and they were paid by the hour, not by the job. I felt completely lied to and manipulated by this company as I trusted the owner on the quote he provided given this is what he does day in and day out. I am not a professional mover and called to cover my bases, only to feel deceived by these actions. I am not a professional mover, I don't move every year, and don't know enough to be aware the wool was pulled over my eyes. Lesson learned for future moves, but a bitter pill to swallow in the moment. I was aligned with the estimated volume per pound based on a one bedroom apartment (1800 lbs), yet was charged over double my quote, not including tip. Either the owner intended to gouge me on what he thought I had to move or gave me an estimate with a ton of leeway knowing I would still be on the hook to pay the full amount due at the end of the day.

On a positive note, the movers who showed up were great and were incredibly efficient, hard working, and cautious. I only had three broken items out of my one bedroom move. There was some minimal scratches on furniture but they were padded in the move so it didn't compromise the quality/ integrity - only small cosmetic changes.

Although the individuals I interacted with day-of were incredibly helpful, I would not use again based on the deceptive quote I received prior to moving.
