Every day at 8 a.m., we start chopping veggies, soaking beans, and prepping our mesquite-fired grill. Not because we have to, but because we believe in delicious flavors made-to-order, from hand-rolled enchiladas to our sizzling fajitas to guacamole made right at your table. I've just had a fantastic enchilada dinner. It was delicious, the service fantastic and then I got a surprise. Because I am a military veteran they wouldn't let me pay. I was told they do this every year on Veteran's Day. So, thank you On the Border for a great dinner and for caring so much for Veteran's!

Got seated right away. Got chips at 5 minute mark, water at 10 minute mark, order taken at 15 minutes. Food was good as it always is but don't expect refills without flagging somebody down. OTB is headed out of business. If you enjoy their food get there quick. Their poor service is driving them down the drain. Marq. 1/2 the sataff was hanging out in the kitchen other 1/2 at the end of the bar. Boo!!

We sat there for almost 30 minutes after being sat AND not one person came to take our order, give drinks or anything. Maybe there wasn't a manager to ensure quality service but this has never happened to me. Twice a server walked by our table. I haven't been to On The Border in quite some time and I guarantee I won't be going for an even longer time now. We gave back the menus and no-one even said have a good day or anything. The service industry seems to be lacking in recruitment these days.

My family and I stood there for 5-10 minutes while 6 employees looked at us and casually walked by. No acknowledgement of our presence verbally or otherwise. Aside from the 10 tables already seated, there wasn't any wait. Let me be clear, the wait time was not the issue. I've waited an hour or more at places who were actively interested in seating me. End of story, we left. If it was too much for them to simply say, "Hi, I'll be with you in a moment", I couldn't imagine the dining experience improving from there. I've worked in food service for years and ANYONE who has a job works in customer service, and can tell you that, valuing your customer's presence goes a long way in making a pleasant experience. We weren't expecting the whole wait staff to fall all over themselves for our gracing them with our presence, just a simple "hello" would have sufficed.
