My experience was fantastic. I needed money for an emergency, Ms. Thompson was my loan officer. She was professional, friendly and she got things done quickly. My payments were low and manageable. She explained everything as well as how I could pay off my loan faster. I've never had an experience like that before ever. I highly recommend OneMain Financial

I wish Springfield was a separate company again because I was able to put up different collateral than just a car. I legally cannot drive do to a medical condition called Epilepsy. It's times like these where I feel I am being totally discriminated against. So basically I can't get a loan cause I have a medical condition thanks people. Man I wish Springfield was on their own again they at least have people more of a chance.

After spending multiple hours on two occassions at the 4000 Virginia Beach blvd Branch of One Main Credit. I have been declined. This after I was told that I had received an underwriter approval. The reason for my declination was that my employer verification of Income was not written in a way that was acceptable. I work in estimation/sales/design and get paid as jobs are completed. Currently what is already sold for the year and is being currently being completed; is more than enough to support my DTI ratio. Unfortunately this is not acceptable and was not even able to speak with the area/regional manager who was in the back. The only thing acceptable was my last yrs W2 that is about $8000/yr less than what I am making now. I still would be OK at that income. However, my lease is split between 3 people. There is even an addendum available for the lease to show each tenants responsibility. The Branch manager said that it must go by the entire lease amount no matter what. She said that no addendum is acceptable because she knows what the total amount of rent is for that address.There was nothing but shaking heads and eyes closed. It was a very unprofessional way to be treated. I find it extremely unprofessional to not have these things in order before calling someone to spend another hour plus at the location. And that there was no solution. Simply: "Sorry, that's just how we do it". I asked repeatedly what we would need to do to get the loan approved. I was met with "there's nothing that we can do". I will certainly be steering everyone away from One Main Financial. I gave them everything that was asked for (and more). Only to find that my employer verifying my income was not "written how they can accept it" after asking if I could ask him to write it in a format that would be acceptable I was told: " we have already seen this one" . It is not as if I am trying to pull a fast one here. I don't deserve to be treated as if I am doing so. My rent is exactly what I had said it is; but the company's policy is to make me accountable for 3 times what I actually pay (I have two roommates). I am even lowballing my income. My employer wrote in what I would finish up the year at if I did not work anymore AT ALL this year. I just feel like a minute with the regional supervisor (because the branch Manager was not willing to reason with me) and some type of action plan for approval. Even if it was "well, it looks like our only option is to wait until the end of the year and take your last pay stub or wait for W2" I would have accepted that. And We are only talking a few weeks away at this point. What kind of loan officer/Branch Manager would not offer that as an option? It boggles the mind! Unprofessionalism and closed mindedness has lost me as a potential customer. And probably some of my friends as well.
