My experience was wonderful. The staff was very kind and actually cares about your behavioral state. Before prescribing me medication, I spoke with several people who then got together to choose the right medication for me. I was always scared that institutions would just give you anything but here, they actually prescribe what is best for you. This facility is clean and does NOT treat you as a prisoner. I was very nervous when I first arrived because I didn't know what to expect and this was my first time being admitted to a mental institution. There was a mixup regarding the medications that I was taking at home. Before you arrive (if you're able) please make sure that the pharmacy that you use for any medication has the correct dosage and schedule listed. Doing this will ensure that all you're prior medication is still given to you. I would recommend this location to anyone that needs help. The food is also great here!!

MOST of the staff legitimately cared about our well being. You get to smoke cigarettes, which is an incredible rarity among mental health facilities. Myself and everyone on my unit highly enjoyed the food. All in all, I came out much better when I went on. Shout out to David, Anthony, Brittany, Melissa, Dr. Art and especially Norman. I would recommend this facility to anyone in need of psychiatric care.

The psychiatrist was worthless, spent five minutes with each patient. His only question was are you feeling better. The first day, the nurse tried to give me someone else's medication and I noticed the pills were not the right color. His name was patrick and he didn't even acknowledge he made an error. Worst hospital ever! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The health system in this country is a complete tragedy. We pay millions to keep the sick as sick as possible and these types of places do the bare minimum in order to collect money and then send their "patients" out into the world no better than they were when they arrived. This industry has become desensitized and the supposed social workers and therapists at this location should be ashamed to hold a license. When a woman is recovering from drugs and is a threat to her own health due to her terminal illness, the last thing you do is "treat" their pain with narcotics. I am a recovering addict, luckily with a strong enough mentality and the strength from God to pursue a better life for myself. Don't ask which health care or rehab facility I went to because it doesn't exist. For others, like my mother, who suffer with a terminal illness (alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency) it is much more difficult for her to keep hope. At the very least it should be mandatory that patients are treated as individuals instead of continuing to offer the same generic systems and treatments for everyone. We are clearly all wired differently but it seems that this is most often missed in behavioral health. You have done your part in sucking the money from her and keeping her as mentally ill as possible so that she may end up again, paying you for your poor services. Sending mentally ill patients from this location in cabs to unknown locations should be illegal. You are taking lives away from families. My mother went to school for nursing and is one of the most intelligent women I know. Unfortunately with her illness she has suffered from depression, and thank you to this industry, she has become no better. All this industry has done, has treated my mother with more medication to become addicted to and kept her at this low mental state of mind. Our country needs to focus more on treating minds with compassion, and genuine care than dollars and profits. We should be ashamed as a country to allow this type of treatment for addicts. We turn an eye pretending like the addicts are the lowly humans of the world and that they have some tragic illness that may or may not be resolved. Then we pat ourselves on the backs for a "job well done". These addicts are doctors, nurses, and executives. They are humans that deserve more from us. This health system has failed at addiction.

I was hospitalized here back in 2012. Insurance covered 5 days however upon agreeing to go I was Told I'd only be there for 3. Guess they kept me until money was out. I was placed on 3 medications which helped me. The staff was okay, caring and actually took time to talk and even play cards with us. Room was clean and my room mate was awesome. I developed friendships that carried over. The food was okay. I was underweight when I went in do to depression they gave new ensure shakes to help while I was there, 3 a day. The psychiatrist sees you once a day for 10 min, not even making Eye contact or caring. I cried often cause I missed my kids. I had a newborn and wss dealing with Post partum depression. All in all tho, great experience.
