Hi,
My friends and I (5 of us total) called up Orangetheory in Leawood Kansas to try our first class for free. The person taking our information was very nice and asked us to come 30 min early. We ran late and arrived 20 min before the class. When we showed up the first thing out of the customer service representative was “we asked you to come 30 min early and since you did not I cant have you go to the 845am class. I will need to put you in the 945am class”.  We shared that our friend who was with us was getting married today so that was not possible. We asked if we could do the tour after class and she refused. In addition she said we wouldn’t understand the “terminology” in the class without the tour and there was “lots of paperwork to sign”.  She asked if we lived in Kansas and we said we are from Kansas but do not reside currently. She then shared we could not have a free class due to not living here and the cost would be $28 a person. We were never told on the phone we had to be residence. My friend shared that we all live in areas (Utah and Chicago) where Orangetheory is available and wanted to try it today and if we liked it join in our hometown. She told us we needed to go to that studio in Utah and Chicago to try the class out then. 
The customer service representative was rude from the start, uninviting, and we literally felt very unwelcome. I have never met a person who had such horrible customer service skills. Even the trainer next to the customer service representative looked uncomfortable. I understand we were late, however, telling us hi first would have been nice, or empathetic around changing times.  I am writing in hopes this behavior can be addressed and no other person has the same experience.

Great workouts, great trainers, and a clean facility. Deanjalo got me hooked into a routine again while I’m in the KC area throughout the week, thanks my man! You will not be disappointed with a workout and they keep you motivated throughout!

Everyone was very helpful and full of information regarding the class, what to expect, what’s unique about the workout. Very high level of customer service all around.

I went in with a member just to see if I liked it. I loved it!  The trainer was great, workout was amazing and I felt great the rest of the day. The next 3 days I was sore, but the good sore. I will be back and I cannot wait until our OTF opens in LS.
