I have frequently visited the area around Oregon Mine Campground and the pics tagged to the site are true to the area and just a short drive from camp depending on which FS road is used. Murderers Creek runs just behind the campground with a very short section called Horse Creek.  Named for the wild mountain horses that live out there.

Possibly a great place if you like to ride horses, but otherwise not worth the trip to nowhere. The three campsites were well-sized but a little tightly-spaced. Murderer's Creek was more like a gurgling brook when I was there in the summer. There was lots of horse poop and hay.

What an amazing experience! It was such a picturesque place and seeing wild horses was absolutely magical. Let's try to keep this one hush hush so it doesn't get ruined by people living for the 'Gram!

We had a birthday party out there and everyone had a blast even though it was cold but we had a campfire.
