The snowshoeing here is amazing! We went for mines and the views are amazing. The roads are well maintained and facilities are clean. The rangers we saw we pleasant and helpful. The parking was free, as was the park. The trails were very well maintained and clear of debris. Everything was well marked and/or gated. I can't wait to come back. I will definitely be back this winter and will be back in the summer, spring, and fall.

nice and clean, lots of trees. if your rig is close to the 40' mark, sites are limited. we had to take a spot along the highway and it was noisy. trucks pulling up hill and using exhaust brakes going down. the loudest campground we have ever been to

Beautiful area, historical place, rangers really make you feel welcome, they take pride in that park. One thing to watch is this is literally along I-84, some camp sites literally back the freeway and while we were there we saw a number of people drive in and drive out rather than set up next to the freeway. We stayed and enjoyed it, but if you think that would bother you, all for a site deeper into the park.

Winter cabin camping is an awesome experience. Make reservations and the staff will leave the lights and heaters on, so your cabin is toasty and bright when you arrive.

Spent three days at camp. Rented the community building which is absolutely stellar. Commercial kitchen with range, dishwasher, freezer, refrigerator, 40 cup coffee maker, and more. Large area with tables and chairs. Lovely grounds with play area, picnic area and baseball field. Cabins were great. Good working ranges on the front porch and small refrigerators inside. Bathrooms and showers were immaculate, something we have come to admire at all Oregon state parks we have visited. We are from Washington state and can attest that Oregon parks are far superior to ours. Highly recommend this park.
