Went in with right neck and shoulder pain. I had seen another ortho who gave me an injection for frozen shoulder and when that didn't work told me to go to another ortho. Went to see Dr. Huberty. He had no idea what was actually wrong - maybe my neck, maybe bursitis. He gave me another shot in my shoulder. I asked about an MRI because I was frustrated by the lack of tests. He got agrumentative and said to come back in if it wasn't better and he'd consider an MRI. It took several weeks to get an appointment with him to start. I wasn't offered any type of follow up appointment in a few weeks. I'd already spent 5 months going to different docs. So I went to my naturopath, who actually listens, and she got me an MRI which showed a herniated disc in my neck. Thanks Dr. Huberty for months of additional pain since you only consider MRIs and don't offer timely follow-up appointments after injections.

Dr Huberty worked on my right rotator cuff. When I have to have surgery, I get multiple expert opinions for the best approach, if the injury is beyond the norm. In this case, I had a very old rotator cuff injury, that left the ligament ruptured from the bone AND the muscle. Since it was very old, and the muscle had not been triggered to work, it was atrophied and fattified. The first Dr wanted to do two surgeries over a period of time, the 2nd Dr wanted to replace the shoulder with a reversed artifical joint. Luckily, I talked to Dr Huberty as well. He took his time to thoroughly assess the shoulder and consider the different options that had been suggested. He walked me through what would need to be done, and that alot would fall on my own discipline to not push the use of the shoulder too soon. He was able to go in and repair the rotator cuff injury in one surgery, and then worked with me over the past year to make sure that I was progressing well and did not re-injure the joint before the muscle could bulk up. I am so very glad I had Dr Huberty. He is simply the best.
