I called for my son who lives in another state in the east.  He needed a contract looked at that was signed in Vancouver WA. My son works swingshift eastern time so I offered to call. I explained some of the details, making it clear that I only needed referral information.  The "man" I was speaking to repeatedly interrupted me saying, "I don't hear a legal issue"  and "why Isn't your son calling himself"?  I finally asked, "are you trying to teach mom a lesson here or actually providing some information?"  He then stated that unless I had power of attorney he couldn't talk to me.  That's actually not true.  Not for a referral.  So, my strong suggestion would be, get an actual referral person with a soul in that position, rather than a wannabe attorney.  I actually received my referral and now have an attorney.  I
