I had to see an NP here because my original doctor left the practice. I had been seen in prompt care for abdominal pain and lab results warranted a follow up ultrasound. Out patient services stated that it is 2 weeks til their next appointment. I went to the office to be seen my Heather Howell and have since had the most infuriating experience. She told me that her hands are basically tied and she can't get me in sooner as an outpatient, but if I felt that my labs and my pain warranted getting one sooner, I should just go to the ER. After a ton of back and forth with 50 people on the phone, I asked if she could please change the priority in the order to STAT instead of Routine so I could get in sooner for my ultrasound, instead of having to go through the ER and having another workup done and paying a ton of money. She was irritated with my request and had her nurse tell me that even if I get in sooner, if something is found on the ultrasound, I would have to be referred to the hospital for treatment anyway, so I should just go to the ER. Why do I even bother with having a provider if they will do nothing to help with your course of treatment? Should everyone just start using the ER as a doctor's office?? I will NOT be using OSF again.

Their waiting time is the worst in my life. Last week, I brought my two kids there for regular medical exams because school required it. It was the first time we visited this clinic. We waited 30 minutes after our appointment time passed, then 30 minutes in the middle, then another 30 minutes at the end, so we spent about 3 hours in the clinic. Because both of my kids need immunization shot, the doctor felt so embarrassed and was afraid we would need wait another hour for the immunization shot, so she told us to make another appointment. So I made an appointment and brought kids there for immunization shot today. This is a visit for nurse. 1 hour after our appointment time passed, the front desk still has no idea when we'll get the call. So we had to leave. I'll never visit their office again.
